So-so

by Claire Sequeira from Singapore, 16 Aug 08

My stay at Asia Hotel was a comfortable one. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable. However, the size of the room was a disappointment. I was under the impression that booking a Deluxe 3 bed room would be equivalent to 3 single beds in a room spacious enough for 3 people. But sadly, that was not the case. We were given a room on the 15th storey, but with only 2 single bed. An additional single bed was added in, only to have the size of the room reduced. There was practically no room for anyone to walk around.

The international buffet breakfast that came with our Deluxe Room was just a small spread of food items, with the same food on display every morning. Very unappetizing after the 3rd morning.

Overall rating from me for Asia Hotel would be an average. If possible, find somewhere else that provides bigger rooms and a bigger breakfast.

Would Definitely Stay Here Again!

by Miss Alison Guillou from Guernsey, Channel Islands, 4 Mar 08

Really good hotel with great facilities. Decor is very old but the hotel is very clean and in a great location.

Would definitely stay at the Asia Hotel Bangkok again. If you choose to book a cabin room, please be aware that these rooms have no window!!

Almost home from home!!

by malcolm stella from United Kingdom, 27 Feb 08

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Asia. The last stay was our third and have always found your staff to be most welcoming and pleasant.

We look forward to our next stay and will recommend the Asia to all our friends.

Beware the service

by Anonymous User from England, 14 Jan 08

After staying at this hotel for the last six years we were VERY unhappy when we were accused of taking a tea towel from the room.I did not travel all the way from the UK to steal a stupid little tea towel!

We will have to give very careful thought as to whether we will stay here again.

A perfect budget hotel!

by Annonymous User from Philippines, MNL, 17 Apr 07

Reading all the positive and negative reviews about this hotel, my girlfriend and I decided not to expect much. Pleasant surprise, however, since from the moment we arrived until we left we had nothing but praises for this hotel.

Best of all, the location is excellent! Connected with BTS you can just go about anywhere major in Bangkok. Malls such as MBK and Paragon are walking distance away. Make sure you book via internet for cheaper rates. If having no windows does not bother you at all, cabin room is not that bad as some people claim.

Restaurants and pool are average, while gym facility is poor. Front desk receptionists are willing to help and phone operator is useful. If you are looking for a budget + great location hotel; stop thinking and trust when I say your money is worth at Asia Hotel.

Rip Off on Check-Out

by Anonymous user from San Francisco, CA, 26 Mar 07

In general, the service was OK and the room was OK, but not exceptional. On check-out, I was told one bathrobe was missing (there was only one to begin with). I offered to let them search my luggage. They declined. Long story short, I had to pay an extra 600BHT to ransom my way out of the hotel. I do not recommend this hotel for business travelers.

Think Twice

by Stephanie, 19 Mar 07

Location was fairly good, particularly for first time visitors to Bangkok. However, the service was lacking in several areas. For example, bellhops did not bother carrying/ wheeling luggages for visitors. Queues for buffet breakfast were not only not well organised but the people fronting the desk were also abrupt.

Don't miss Elvis

by Joanne Dunne from London UK, 16 Mar 07

The Asia Hotel is always my first stop in Thailand. After a long flight it is great to arrive in the heart of Bangkok to a clean, friendly and comfortable place to stay. There are 2 pools to unwind and relax by, a sky train service from the hotel to Bangkok's finest shopping facilities (Siam Square & Chit Lom) and even a Thai Elvis to entertain on a Saturday night - who could ask for more.

A bit disappointed

by Pascal GINESTE from Port-Vila, Vanuatu, 13 Mar 07

Everything is quiet ok (especially services, very good) except rooms: very old. I booked a superior single but how disappointed: very noisy. You can ear people talking in the next room, you can ear people taking shower, going to toilet or listening TV... not good at all ! The four * are for service, I agree, but not for rooms (Superior) ! First and last for me for this hotel. I know much better for few baths more, like Royal President.
