I'll be back

by Oliver from Vancouver ; Canada, 6 Apr 06

The location of the hotel is good as it is linked to the skytrain station. Rooms however are a bit old but since I was there for only a week, it was still quite a pleasant experience though the air-con made some weird noise, room service is excellent, they responded to my calls once i had a toilet problem. Breakfast was good, and they make-up yr room even when the sign is not out.

Overall experience I would grade is Well-above Good.

Family Staying

by Stephanie from Brunei, 10 Apr 06

ASIA Hotel was good value. Would not hesitate to recommend family staying.
It is also convenience as the Thai version of sky train was just next to it.
Loved the buffet BUT find it a little bit confusing when no one was there to direct people to sit, especially those non-English speaking people.

Dark endless hallways

by Madeleine Lovisa Holgersson from Stockholm, 23 Apr 06

Do not book the room with no windows (the cheapest one). It's like being in a cell. Asia Hotel didn't meet my expectations, I think I would have far more quality on other hotel with same rates.

Room smelled at little bit of mould, the bed and pillow was so hard. It was also hard to understand the reception staff.

Don't let the front man fool you by saying no normal taxis come here, go with hotel taxi! 700 baht OK? I saw heaps of taxis but when I really needed one to go to the airport, he couldn't get me one .I got the price down a bit but felt cheated anyway.

The breakfast buffet was huge. Restaurant by the lobby pretty cheap and tasty.

Go for Cabin Room

by Cinque, 27 Apr 06

We stayed in Superior room for 3 nights and 1 night in Cabin Room. If you really don't mind any windows in your room, go for the cabin room. It's definitely more value for money, much cheaper than Superior room and comes with breakfast. There are also bathrobes, bedroom shoes and a small kettle in the cabin room which are not found in the superior room.

Good service

by margaret from Singapore, 30 Jun 06

Everything were good except that the triple room was not well prepared with an extra bed when we booked in. However, it was solved immediately after we have informed the staff.

Disappointed with the room this time

by TOH SAI PENG from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 31 Jul 06

I'm a little bit disappointed when I enter the room, since I book for triple room, you should arrange the bigger room to suite the additional bed, but mines, the room look too tight after put the additional bed, even walking through the bed is difficult for me. Plus, there's no window in my room, last ime, you able to arrange no view window for me for cabin room, is better than no window now.

But one thing, I'm happy to receive the free BTS card, at lease after using it, I still can kept for it as souvenir. But, still I feel disappointed this time...

May go back due to location.

by Wong Swee Hin from Singapore, 31 Jul 06

The shower nozzle is not working very well. Do not have a king size bed as requested. Bath robe is not enough (requested for 2 but only 1 available). Slippers are not comfortable. However, the service desk willing to allow us to check out late at 3pm.

Excellent location, maximum convenience !

by Corey Q from Malaysia, 31 Jul 06

If shopping is tops on your itinerary, then this is the perfect hotel ! It's located within walking or BTS distance from Paragon, MBK, Siam Discovery and Central - all the malls you really need ! Plus, the BTS will also take you to Chatuchak for the weekend market ! The cabin room may be small but it is extremely comfy and great value for money ! Highly recommended.

I be back soon for my next Bangkok trip

by azuary aka TerNaKaL from The Lion City, Causeway Bay, Singapore, 5 Sep 06

Nice comfortable hotel, I enjoyed staying there especially when I'm able to watch soccer thru the cable TV, hahaha. Very convenient for me especially after long day at Chacutak market, nearby to BTS system. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast provided, really nice. Walking distance to MBK and all other shopping centre nearby. For Muslim tourist you can go to Makyah Muslim Restaurant situated at 497/16 Petchburi Rd, Rajthevi Bangkok, along The Road Beside Soi 7. Walk out from the hotel turn left, walk straight & cross the street, turn left and walk straight ahead. Its about 5-10mins walk from the hotel.

For couples or family beware because your partner might end up spending so much money & time at Naraya boutique at the hotel lobby but actually the items there are nice, unique & affordable to be given as gifts or souveniers.

As good as what you pay for

by Anonymous User from San Francisco, CA, 11 Sep 06

The location is great, its connected to Ratchathewi station on the BTS. It's also very close to MBK, Siam Paragon, good tailors, and good places to eat for western and Thai style food.

The hotel staff is as friendly as they can get. I understand when they aren't that friendly; some foreigners just ruin for the rest of the tourists, but if you show patience and arent trying to jam orders and questions down their throats you will get 4 star service. I was apporached for most of my questions whenever I lined up. Others like to cut in line and jump in front of people who were obviously waiting.

Rooms are good. Stayed there 2 different times. first room didn't have a window but it was clean and spacious enough. The second time I had a window but the A/C kinda put out some old smell. But I could sleep knowing there were no cockroaches.

It's a good idea to get the breakfast. It's a good deal, the food is actually really good, and theres a nice selection. Other facilities weren't great but manageable. Gym sauna pool are sufficient enough to get what you would use them for anyways.

I'd definitely stay there again. Its better than the Ambassador or paying the high prices of IC hotel or other big name ones
