Good location

We arrived at 2am after a delayed flight and the check in was smooth as silk. It was all ready from us to move right in. The breakfasts were good, and the staff, all the staff very friendly and helpful. Great position with transport at the door from the hotel services, metered taxis tuk tuks and the BTS Skytrain. The hotel was always very busy, the rooms clean and security good. We would stay again!

Very good

Very good, clean, good location, great food, great service. You need to make reservation in advance to get a good price otherwise the price go up when you don't have reservation.

MOLD and BUG infested

If I can, I would put Negative Stars.
Stay here if you wish to live with bugs, roaches and breath in mold. My family and I got so sick. Our entire vacation consisted of vomiting and sleepless nights. Even the manager went to room and confirm the terrible stench coming from the mold.
After many complaints we changed 3 rooms in our 4 nights stay. But all the rooms, including the deluxe rooms are in such horrible condition. There are much better hotels in much better locations. I have stayed in some terrible places before even places in the middle of no where of Kazakhstan and Urumchi. But this is the worse.
BE WARNED! DO NOT STAY HERE FOR YOUR HEALTH'S SAKE!

Good Value as always

Have stayed here numerous times and always good value for money and good location.
This time I stayed in a "Cabin Room" and quite good. - who needs windows for the lower price.
Elvis is always interesting and nice cute staff.

Room Facilities

Everything is good except no kettle for us to boil hot water, we can't make any hot drink. There is no tissue paper and hairdryer provide in the room too, we have to wait till our hair dry then can go and sleep.

A bit disappointed

Everything is quiet ok (especially services, very good) except rooms: very old. I booked a superior single but how disappointed: very noisy. You can ear people talking in the next room, you can ear people taking shower, going to toilet or listening TV... not good at all ! The four * are for service, I agree, but not for rooms (Superior) ! First and last for me for this hotel. I know much better for few baths more, like Royal President.

Don't miss Elvis

The Asia Hotel is always my first stop in Thailand. After a long flight it is great to arrive in the heart of Bangkok to a clean, friendly and comfortable place to stay. There are 2 pools to unwind and relax by, a sky train service from the hotel to Bangkok's finest shopping facilities (Siam Square & Chit Lom) and even a Thai Elvis to entertain on a Saturday night - who could ask for more.

Think Twice

Location was fairly good, particularly for first time visitors to Bangkok. However, the service was lacking in several areas. For example, bellhops did not bother carrying/ wheeling luggages for visitors. Queues for buffet breakfast were not only not well organised but the people fronting the desk were also abrupt.

Rip Off on Check-Out

In general, the service was OK and the room was OK, but not exceptional. On check-out, I was told one bathrobe was missing (there was only one to begin with). I offered to let them search my luggage. They declined. Long story short, I had to pay an extra 600BHT to ransom my way out of the hotel. I do not recommend this hotel for business travelers.

A perfect budget hotel!

Reading all the positive and negative reviews about this hotel, my girlfriend and I decided not to expect much. Pleasant surprise, however, since from the moment we arrived until we left we had nothing but praises for this hotel.
Best of all, the location is excellent! Connected with BTS you can just go about anywhere major in Bangkok. Malls such as MBK and Paragon are walking distance away. Make sure you book via internet for cheaper rates. If having no windows does not bother you at all, cabin room is not that bad as some people claim.
Restaurants and pool are average, while gym facility is poor. Front desk receptionists are willing to help and phone operator is useful. If you are looking for a budget + great location hotel; stop thinking and trust when I say your money is worth at Asia Hotel.
