Will definitely be back

by Bendy from Los Angeles, CA / Manila, Philippines, 12 Jul 07

Having stayed at Baiyoke suite last June 20 - 24, I would like to inform everyone that there are now four (4) lifts servicing the building and as such the wait is on the average around half a minute. I have read the previous reviews which says that there could be a 10 minute wait for the lifts and so I came prepared for this. But I was surprised when upon my arrival, lo and behold, there were 4 lifts.

The lobby is very spacious and inviting. The rooms are old and somewhat dim. The big plus for me is the nice shower u can get as much hot water as you like and believe me, the water pressure can be as strong as a fire horse. The complimentary daily bottled water is appreciated. Breakfast is ok at the 43rd floor and as a bonus from there you can scout the nearby malls and plan your route. Location is superb for shopping, right at your doorstep! will definitely come back.

Positive stay!

by Yanbin from Singapore, 28 Aug 07

Baiyoke Suite Hotel. My last desperate choice when my sis called from Thailand that all hotels around Indra Regent (where she was staying) are fully booked.

With the many comments about Baiyoke Suite, I was pretty freaked out about the room and everything. Fortunately, my sis booked the deluxe suite for us (FYI -2307THB/night).

The lobby was pretty impressive, and the staffs were generally nice and polite. Was quite accommodative (exchanged a visitor pass with their hotel pass) when my sis and bro-in-law wanted to view our room. There were only 4 lifts for the 43-storey hotel. We stayed on the 39th floor, but the waiting time weren’t that bad most of the time.

I must say the corridor reeked of post-renovation smell and the air-ventilation was bad. The room - very big and nice (a little scary in the night if there’s only 2 occupants), bedroom (given bathrobe and slippers) and bathroom were very clean as well with the toiletries (ranges from nail filer to men shaver, hand soap to shampoo dispenser affixed to the wall) more than necessary.

I have no complaints at all, except for the shower head (hanger dropped off on the first day, and you need to adjust every 5mins as apparently it turns cold despite having the temperature set!) and the bedroom air-con screwed up on the 2nd and 3rd day.

Breakfast was the same every day, I only like the fried-on-the-spot scrambled eggs and piping hot bee hoon soup. The rest were practically ‘cold’ food. We even managed to sneak my sis and bro-in-law in for breakfast with our un-used coupons!

Overall, it’s a recommended stay in their deluxe suite.

We will keep coming here

by s rowe from auckland new zealand, 29 Aug 07

As always we enjoyed our stay there. Excellent breakfast!! Friendly staff. A rare opportunity for us in BKK, a family of 4 to be able to all sleep in the same room. Very central to shops.

Review of Baiyoke Suite

by Noorin Chan from Singapore, 17 Sep 07

The room doesn't give a modern feeling like the reception area. Furniture looks old, TV reception very poor due static distortions. The air-con gives inconsistent cooling temperature around the rooms.

It's a very good location for shopping though.

Breakfast was good, the lady who is doing the prata counter is very helpful she was willing to go an extra mile by serving the food requested to the table.

Value for money

by MARIA VHIJAYA CHU from BC, Canada, 27 Sep 07

Overall, the place was good - value for money. The only problem is the room air conditioner was not working. A maintenance guy came right away, but could not remedy the problem. I informed the Assistant Manager the following day, somebody came, but still could not do anything. I was hoping they would tell us to move to another room-but they didn't. But since the living room has an air conditioner, so it wasn't miserable at all. We stayed at the 28th floor.

The breakfast buffet compensated all of the above problem as well as the courteous staff.

Very Price Worthy

by Monika Rehnberg from Ale, Sweden, 30 Oct 07

Food is Excellent, service on this hotel is good, rooms are old and not that good, location is perfect for those who wants to go shopping in Pratunam.

Considering the price, I would say that this hotel is very price worthy indeed. Which by the way is why it fairly often is fully booked :) I will be back to both AtSiam.com and Baiyoke Suite Hotel

Thanks!

Warning !!!

by Philip from London, 30 Oct 07

This hotel is to be avoided. I booked it from the internet, their site completely mis-represents the appalling state of the rooms which are old and dirty. The lobby has recently been renovated which leads you to believe the hotel rooms are in a similar state. Wrong, they are rotton. Never will I stay in this dirty, smelly 'hotel again'.

Think twice before reserving Baiyoke Hotel, Pattaya

by Frequent Travelllor, 22 Jan 08

Liked:
Excellent Location, Good view of the beaches.

Disliked:
80% of the staff is unfriendly, rude, discourteous. Administratively very poorly run. Staff is rude & unsmiling. They toss towels at you when you open the door instead of handing it over! When we asked for the bill in room service he wanted us to sign on a blank bill!

Room service boys ask for THB-100/- to warm up packeted foods! The GM was unaware that his staff was charging clients wrongly & pocketing the money!
When they were asked at 9.30 p.m. to warm food they banged the phone down by saying "Service Closed. Good Night"!!
Although, excellent on the face of it it spoiled our holidays! Even the vendors on the beaches are more polite than the Baiyoke Staff.

I have a written apology form a staff member with is name if any of you who would like proof!!

Think twice before ruining your holiday!
