Bad internet connection

by Moirez Deng Mei-xi from China, 21 Apr 08

Wireless signal very poor and charge is expensive. I have been using Bossotel Inn for many years, because I really like the convenient location and also the restaurant is very good. However, this time I am very disappointed with their new arrangement of the internet. They have blocked the use of hotmail account with outlook express. We have to download emails from our POP accounts first, then connect to hotmail web-site to reply the emails. Extremely inconvenient and we have to pay for much longer connection time.

If you are going there for business and need to connect to the internet a few times a day. I don't recommend that you use this one.

Small is good

by P Griffin from Cornwall, United Kingdom, 13 Apr 08

Food very good and rooms an excellent size. Sky train and main pier 5 minutes walking distance away with both being very easy to use.

On arrival smell outside hotel was awful but seemed to disappear just leaving Bangkok's normal aroma. View from our window could have been better but was not a problem ( you could at least see how they lived).

I would definitely recommend staying here if you don't mind being a little bit away from the heart of the city and tucked in amongst some of the pricier hotels.

Fantastic value for money

by Melissa from Stockholm, Sweden, 18 Feb 08

This is the second time we have stayed at Bossotel and we love it. It is outstanding value for money and has a very high standard for a 2-star hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the location good and the buffet breakfast excellent. We will stay here again.

Our stay at the Bossotel

by Tracy from QLD, Australia, 13 Feb 08

The Bossotel was a reasonably priced place to stay. We got around using taxi's (make sure they have the meter on as it is so much cheaper than getting a fixed price). The hotel itself was fairly central though and close to the sky train.

The rooms were comfortable. The pillows were a bit big and so a bit uncomfortable - but that is a minor thing (some people might like big pillows). The only thing I would say about the room is that the bathrooms could use a bit of exit mould - but other than that they were always kept clean!

The staff were very friendly and attentive and the overall food and beverage prices were good.

If you book a tour from the tour desk at the hotel and the booking lady tells you that you do not need long pants or shirts, then if you are going to a temple (eg. the tiger temple) then take long pants and shirt otherwise you have to buy them when you get there!

Nice hotel

by Paul Kreeger from Mid-Glamorgan, United Kingdom, 6 Feb 08

A very pleasant and comfortable, smallish room. Unfortunately there was a (locked) communicating door with the next room, which meant that I could hear everything from my neighbors. Luckily they were quiet people and I slept alright.

Quite good breakfast.

The hotel good value for money in central Bangkok. I would stay again for one or two nights, but only as a second choice.

Orophax is important!

by HELEN JAMPEN from BE, Switzerland, 23 Jan 08

The rooms are really very clean and it has got a very nice interior. But at night, you hear just every single noise in the whole hotel. You hear the fridge from all the neighbor-rooms and the boilers (especially when there was somebody taking a shower). You hear what the people are speaking etc.
The breakfast was excellent and the location is also very good!

Great Location, Great Breakfast

by Happy Traveler from San Francisco Bay Area, 11 Dec 07

This was a perfect place, not too big, not too small and pretty darn quiet considering the location. It is in a quieter part and within walking distance to the pier and skytrain. If you are planning on seeing the historical part of Bangkok this is a good spot, as using the boats is easy. If you need to get to shopping, the skytrain is easy too. We spent 3 wks in Thailand and this was the best place to have breakfast! They had homemade banana jam for instance. Of course, this is not the Hyatt or Four Seasons, but for the price it was perfect!

Loved it!!! Alot for the price

by Parker Watkins from Naples,Florida, 3 Dec 07

I stayed at the Bangkok Bossotel Inn for 23 days in October 2007 while having dental work done at the Dental Hospital Bangkok (Excellent).

I choose this hotel because of the great location, close to skytrain station and river ferries. It was a very pleasant stay with everything I needed nearby.

The breakfast buffet was always good and fresh with home made jams and granolas! Omelet station too. I would stay there any time, nice boutique hotel and friendly staff. The spa was wonderful too.

Four star hotel for two star price.

by William Barnett from Midland, Mi, 9 Nov 07

We traveled with friends and we had the large room and they had a small one. Both were very clean and up to date. The staff was very friendly and could not do enough. It was a short walk to the river and to the MRT. The breakfast buffet was very large, varied daily, and had Western and Asia foods. Each day fresh-made omelets were available. There was always a large assortment of fruit. For our larger room, given the nature of the hotel situation in Bangkok, I would easily give it a four to five star.

We will always stay at Bossotel!

by from WA, United States, 10 Sep 07

My husband and I stayed at the Bossotel Inn and have already recommended it to another couple. The hotel is very clean and the deluxe room was great; included a soaking tub and large bathroom. Your just two block from the sky train, which is the best way to get around Bangkok, and a main shopping mall. The hotel includes breakfast with your choice of omletes, cereal, local fruit, and other 'familiar' items. The staff was great, the spa was great, and we were close to everything.
