Good value for money at a prime location

by Ofer Greenstien from Israel, 29 Aug 08

We were bothered by the heavy smell of cigarettes in the rooms, both rooms smelled like ashtrays and the smell didn't leave although we opened the windows for few hours. Like in western countries they should have non-smoking floors.

Breakfast wasn't good as well, no place to seat for a long time and than they opened a store-room and arranged few tables for guests. The selection of food was poor, mostly Asian style dishes such as fried rice, meat, stir-fried and such.

Other than these 2 points Centre Point Petchburi was very good and we most likely will come again.

Good place to stay

by love love from selangor, Malaysia, 25 Aug 08

Location wise is really good.. 10 min walk to central world, Gaysorn etc. Taxi if you using meter would cost about 40-60 Baht to MBK, Suam Lum night market and Patpong. Burger king is about 2 min walk outside the hotel.

Room was clean and conveniently furnished with standard kitchen amenities, air con work really well. There's a small balcony where you could view some part of the city which I think was a good touch.

Overall, with the price, I guess Centre Point Petchburi is a good bargain.

Stay at Centre Point Hotel

by D'Cotta Kenneth Mark from Singapore, 4 Aug 08

The hotel and location were ideal , however , the front office staff were not very forth coming . What I mean was that they were not very friendly and only spoke when they were referred to.

We had to request a few times for late check-up and were given up to 1pm after making a strong request. I would like to suggest that the reception be more friendly in their nature and this would be a complete plus factor for the hotel and AtSiam.

Will Return Again!!!

by Bill from Johor Barhu, Malaysia, 10 Jun 08

I've been staying at Centre Point Petchburi off and on for about the last 2 years. It's always been a pleasure. The staff are always helpful whenever you need them. The rooms are kept clean daily and if they miss your room they are sure to call and double check about the cleaning.

Some of the floors in the rooms could use a little freshening up but that is a very minor issue. The room size is generous for the value and all things are in working order ie; stereo, tv, kitchenette and lighting.

Loved it!!!

by Vicky Wong Su Lin from Singapore, 8 Jun 08

This is the first time my family of 3 has stayed here. My husband and I liked the huge room particularly the balcony. Check in was smooth and quick. Even though we paid 250 Baht for breakfast for our daughter, they did not give us a voucher for her. Every morning, they would hand me a bill for 132 Baht. Had to explain to them that we have paid when booking our rooms. A bit of hassle but ok. The lounge bar was lovely to look at but infested with mosquitoes. Get rid of the mosquitoes and put in some misty fans and soft music and it would be great a great place to relax after all the shopping!!

I will go back to this Hotel only because its location is very close to my business.

by Dissapointed Guest from USA, 1 Jun 08

I initially started staying in this Hotel a couple of years ago, since then the room price has risen from Thai Baht 1300 to Thai Baht 2200, whereas the amenities have decreased, although the Hotel has received a face lift, key facilities have not been improved, on the contrary it has declined.

The Staff at the Hotel , though polite have no sense of authority, an Hotel Manager is not available, and the room service leaves a lot to be desired. The only saving grace is the Breakfast Buffet, this is the only area the Hotel has improved upon.

Facelift of the Hotel is fine, but does not ease guest requirements, the time one has to wait for lifts (elevators) is fairly prolonged and quite unacceptable.

Good Value for money

by Ravi Sethuraman from New Zealand, 19 May 08

Good price for 5 star comfort in Bangkok. Good variety for buffet Breakfast. The lunch in the restaurant was good. Rooms were serviced promptly. Courteous staff. Limousine service to airport was expensive.

Value Accomodation

by Ravi Sethuraman from New Zealand, 23 Apr 08

One of the best place to stay in Bangkok. I have stayed with my family at Centre Point always when I visit Bangkok.

Spacious and well serviced rooms. Safe place to stay in Bangkok and close to main shopping areas.

Good overall. Price increase too drastic.

by Irene MM from KL, Malaysia, 17 Apr 08

I've stayed here 4 times already since 2006 and the last time was in August 2007. Centre Point Petchburi has always been my top choice. Not now...sigh.

I last paid Baht 1500 per night last year, booked from agency website and within 3-4 months the price has gone to Baht 2,200 !!!

While I like this place, I am also looking at other options now. What a pity...

The pricing structure has to be re-looked at as it's suddenly gone too steep.

I will come again, but price raise up to much

by Ralf Dahmen from NRW, Germany, 15 Apr 08

Very good but price raise up to much in the last 2 years from 1,500 Baht to 2,080 Baht. But service is still great and location also.

Breakfast finish now more early than before so you should be there
before 10.00am.

I will go again if price not raise up more. But near this location you can also find other possibilities.

But all over all you can try every Centre Point and you will be happy.
