My family holiday to Bangkok
by KHOO VAN MINH ITINA from SINGAPORE, 22 May 06
This is really value for money as Pratunam has so many food stalls & shopping for fashion. Very convenient to take a taxi too. But every time I take a shower, the bathroom floor is so wet. At first I thought the bath tub leaks, but after inspection, I realised it is the water that leaks from the shower onto the side of the tub & down to the floor. It is time the hotel replaces the shower. Guest might fall & hurt themselves on wet floor.
Only 2 lifts were working & they are extremely slow. Is the hotel doing something about that ??? Other than that, I like the hotel room. There is the facility floor which has its own laundry area, gym, poor, restaurant, tour agency etc. I will stay there again if the lift is upgraded.

Could have been a better stay...
by Jean, 31 Jan 06
There were only 2 lifts servicing 30 floors. Had to wait an average of 5 to 10 mins each time because the lift was too slow n it was always full. Once we waited more than 10 mins for the lift so decided to take the stairs instead. It took us another 10 mins to take the stairs although we stayed on the 11th floor!

Good comfortable place
by Philippe L from Fr/Vn, 22 May 06
One of the elevators was under maintenance so we sometimes had to wait a little long to get an elevator. Another bad surprise was that Central World Plaza was closed and it will only reopen in late June... But it's gonna be bigger! So we might be back in Center Point Petchburi in July for more shopping!

Cool 2nd Time Try
by Jennifer Tan from Singapore, 5 Jul 06
Breakfast there really improve a lot and also the room service!! Its good and I would really recommend anyone to stay there!! There is room service every morning!! I stay there for four days. The counter staff is great and helpful, always helping us. And you can even borrow DVD from them to watch. Coffee and tea is always ready there for anyone to drink at the reception section!!! which is good!! The view of our room is great as we are on the 20th Floor!! Cool!! Security is good also!!
The only thing is not so good is the elevator/lifts, it kinda small and too much people using it, we had to wait for quite awhile.
But overall the stay in there is Great!! Will be going back there soon!!

Feedback
by Jessica Heng from Singapore, 21 Aug 06
The service apartment is great. Service staff are friendly and smile. Always ready to serve, free DVD if you are bored. Room is well kept and very livable. Kitchen staff at breakfast place are friendly, even though during breakfast, some guests can be pretty rude to them.
During breakfast, when guests house is full, kitchen may consider to on the light and prepare the indoor meeting room for guests to use for breakfast (opposite lift) as there are not enough seats.
There are nice seating area outside the lobby, but too many mosquitoes. This should be improved.
Overall, we will come back again. In fact we stayed for second time already.

Excellent location, a pleasure to stay
by peter shearer from Winchester, UK, 5 Aug 06
As of July 06 there is waste ground on the Petchburi Rd side of the hotel and its likely to become a building site. Good sound-proofing in the rooms however.
Marginally overpriced for Thailand but all hotels in Bangkok appear to be going this way. Excellent location and a definite first choice for a return visit.

Centrepoint Petchburi is still the best.
by Simon Lin from Singapore / Malaysia, 23 Aug 06
Many reasons for my preference in Centrepoint Petchburi's Studio room (without kitchen), as it comes with microwave oven, 2 door fridge, electrical cooking appliances, Sony-DVD Hi-Fi, Flat-screen TV, cosy sofa, laptop-size locker. The room is cosy with parquet floor, a nice hotel class bed, and clean bathroom. Overall experience is excellent and I'm sure, first time will give good rating.
Except for a small water leakage from the air-con duct in the room, anyway, the maintenance took care of it.
The location is good, for the fact, it's centrally located, you wouldn't need a tuk tuk or taxi to go to Isetan, Big C, or Erawan. Just walk across the road and it will take 15 mins of slow pace walk to reach the shopping centres.
The only small problem is all taxi drivers will not know the location and to make matters worst, if you give them a map, they will be very undecided. Just tell them u wanna go to a hotel, just opposite of Pantip Plaza. Yes, the hotel is just opposite, accessible from a road called Soi 15, between Burger King and Swensen. Otherwise u will face difficulty for the taxi driver to locate the hotel.
One more thing, I took a cab from Airport to the Hotel and the cabby told me it will cost 300B. I agreed. On my return to the airport from the hotel, I took a cab and run by the meter and it cost only 140B. Here's my tip "Always follow meter and take the Highway to/from Airport".
I have been to Bangkok many times and if you need tips how to hang around, eat and shop, write to me at simonking@budweiser.com
The only part that sadden me is the increased in room rate compared to last year. It was SGD$50++ in 2005, now it cost SGD$70++. Was a bit disappointed. Next visit will try other hotels if the cost escalates.
Last compliment is for AtSiam.com, it is the best web-service for hotel booking so far. Very professionally designed with good web features such as tracking and alert, to keep you informed of your booking status, e-vouchers, history of booking. Well done.
Look no further for other hotel, dun waste time, try Centrepoint Petchburi. Great hotel. Use AtSiam.com with confidence.
