The price increase too MUCH!

by H F Liew from Malaysia, 31 Oct 07

The price has simply increase far too much. 3 months ago, I made a booking for the same room type at 1650 baht, 3 months later increase to 2100 baht! Nothing additional given. Considering to change to another place on my next trip 3 months down the road.

Nice Hotel but in need of quality assurance

by Jag Jugessur from Switzerland, 31 Mar 08

I have stayed in Centre Point Petchburi on numerous occasions before and this time round my stay lasted ten days during which I found the hotel very clean, convenient and homely, as before.

However I feel some small improvements such as provision of complimentary tea bags, coffee, sugar and cream in the room as well as slippers and bathrobes like in any good hotel of similar standard, are required to enhance the quality of service offered. This time round, I also noted some deterioration in service at breakfast time. Although the breakfast provided is very good, I found myself on several occasions asking for things like tea spoons, glasses, napkins, etc, as these were not automatically renewed.

Will Return Again!!!

by Bill from Johor Barhu, Malaysia, 10 Jun 08

I've been staying at Centre Point Petchburi off and on for about the last 2 years. It's always been a pleasure. The staff are always helpful whenever you need them. The rooms are kept clean daily and if they miss your room they are sure to call and double check about the cleaning.

Some of the floors in the rooms could use a little freshening up but that is a very minor issue. The room size is generous for the value and all things are in working order ie; stereo, tv, kitchenette and lighting.

Good overall. Price increase too drastic.

by Irene MM from KL, Malaysia, 17 Apr 08

I've stayed here 4 times already since 2006 and the last time was in August 2007. Centre Point Petchburi has always been my top choice. Not now...sigh.

I last paid Baht 1500 per night last year, booked from agency website and within 3-4 months the price has gone to Baht 2,200 !!!

While I like this place, I am also looking at other options now. What a pity...

The pricing structure has to be re-looked at as it's suddenly gone too steep.

Loved it!!!

by Vicky Wong Su Lin from Singapore, 8 Jun 08

This is the first time my family of 3 has stayed here. My husband and I liked the huge room particularly the balcony. Check in was smooth and quick. Even though we paid 250 Baht for breakfast for our daughter, they did not give us a voucher for her. Every morning, they would hand me a bill for 132 Baht. Had to explain to them that we have paid when booking our rooms. A bit of hassle but ok. The lounge bar was lovely to look at but infested with mosquitoes. Get rid of the mosquitoes and put in some misty fans and soft music and it would be great a great place to relax after all the shopping!!

Stay at Centre Point Hotel

by D'Cotta Kenneth Mark from Singapore, 4 Aug 08

The hotel and location were ideal , however , the front office staff were not very forth coming . What I mean was that they were not very friendly and only spoke when they were referred to.

We had to request a few times for late check-up and were given up to 1pm after making a strong request. I would like to suggest that the reception be more friendly in their nature and this would be a complete plus factor for the hotel and AtSiam.

Good place to stay

by love love from selangor, Malaysia, 25 Aug 08

Location wise is really good.. 10 min walk to central world, Gaysorn etc. Taxi if you using meter would cost about 40-60 Baht to MBK, Suam Lum night market and Patpong. Burger king is about 2 min walk outside the hotel.

Room was clean and conveniently furnished with standard kitchen amenities, air con work really well. There's a small balcony where you could view some part of the city which I think was a good touch.

Overall, with the price, I guess Centre Point Petchburi is a good bargain.

Good value for money at a prime location

by Ofer Greenstien from Israel, 29 Aug 08

We were bothered by the heavy smell of cigarettes in the rooms, both rooms smelled like ashtrays and the smell didn't leave although we opened the windows for few hours. Like in western countries they should have non-smoking floors.

Breakfast wasn't good as well, no place to seat for a long time and than they opened a store-room and arranged few tables for guests. The selection of food was poor, mostly Asian style dishes such as fried rice, meat, stir-fried and such.

Other than these 2 points Centre Point Petchburi was very good and we most likely will come again.

AWESOME AND HAPPY STAY. RECOMMENDED FOR BANGKOK VISITORS.

by SIMON LIN KOK LEONG from SINGAPORE, 27 Jun 05

I'm very pleased with the excellent services at CentrePoint Petchaburi. The staff service provided was fast, prompt, courteous and very well above professional in hotel services. In one busy morning while waiting the lifts to the Facility Level where the breakfast is served, the lift is full when I step in. Surprisingly, one of the staff in the lift graciously allow me to stand in his place. This is very courteous and I believe everyone in the lift thinks the same.

Overall, I enjoy my stay and I rated it as above class for the room size is good, the air-con is superbly well maintained. Room service was prompt. This is the best place to stay for 3 of my visits to Bangkok and will certainly come back and recommend my friends to come.

About the location, it's a short 20mins slow pace walk to Isetan and Big C. 15mins walk to Ratchatewi BTS Station which makes my trip to MoChit Station very fast. I'd actually saved a lot of money by taking the airport bus which stops at Indra Regent Hotel which is a very convenient taxi ride (35baht) to/from CentrePoint Petchaburi.

Another plus point is that the apartment room is fully equipped with a fridge, a quality DVD hi-fi stereo and a 29" flat TV. It also makes my sleepless night very well served with free rental DVDs (available at the recep), which I had borrowed movies for 4 nights of my stay.

AWESOME AND HAPPY STAY. RECOMMENDED FOR BANGKOK VISITORS.
