Value for Money!!

by KALYANASUNDARAM from Malaysia, 27 Jun 05

Stayed here for second time. Very good ambiance and location is very good with Robinson's so conveniently located with entrance from the hotel lobby. Does not have the "red light" scenes common of Thailand. Decent place to stay. Rooms are excellent with all necessary facilities and layout is very comfortable.

Staffs are very helpful and know their English. Restaurant facility is limited as it closes at 10pm. American Buffet Breakfast choice is not very much but acceptable.

Will definitely stay here again.

by Anonymous user, 9 Aug 05

Great space and comfort for the money. Location is very convenient to the skytrain for night markets and the ferry for the major temples. The apartments are right above a shopping complex with a food court and supermarket.

Centre Point Silom - Excellent Suites

by Peter Griffin from Canada, 31 Jul 05

Although not located in a tourist area the hotel is adjacent to the Sky Train and the River Boats. Supermarket and department store in the same complex and many local stores on adjoining streets.

Suites very large with basic supplies. Basic room service menu and all general facilities. Will stay again.

luxury place!

by mauro cristanetti from milano, Italy, 24 Aug 05

Really good!! Reading this comment remember it is an apartment:

The living room is really spacious and comfortable, fully and luxury furnished with DVD reader, hi-fi, big TV etc. The bedroom wouldn't be better. 2 bathrooms. An kitchen (open) fully furnished with everything needed. Terrace swimming pool, inside gym.

Just one point "negative": since it is not a real hotel but apartments, there are no lobby or an open bar or a place to simply remain seated during evening or waiting someone. The breakfast is good too.

Will stay again

by Anonymous user from Singapore, 21 Nov 05

Value for money, good location with Sky Train and River Cruise Station less than 5 mins of walk. Shopping Centre (Robinson) & Supermarket (TOPS) within the same building.

Very friendly staff which make u feel @ home. Free DVD for loan. However, the view from the river view suite is nothing to shout about Washing machine is good but there isn't any information that indicate the washing duration. It will be nice if it has a quick wash function of 30 mins or so.

Will stay there again on next visit .

by Gentry, 27 Feb 06

One of the best hotels I've stayed in . Had food supermarket and fast food restaurants on bottom floor. 2 blocks to river. Centrally located. Large, spacious rooms. Took long time for water to get hot in bath and shower was only negative.

I would go back tomorrow!!

by Ella from UK, 10 Jan 06

The moment we arrived the porters leap into action, unloaded our luggage from the taxi, held open the doors and ushered us into the reception area. Check in was smooth and efficient and the staff were very welcoming. A porter escorted us to our room, checked everything was working and left us to settle in.

Wow – we couldn’t believe how lovely the apartment was - an enormous living area and 2 huge bedrooms, both with king size beds. All beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. Both en suite bathrooms had large baths as well as walk in showers. It looked even better than it had in the photos. To my 12 year old’s delight, there were 3 large televisions (1 in each room) with a large selection of English speaking channels. To my delight we had a view of the river from the living area window. So could watch the boats by day and night. Next door is a large department store – Robinsons, and outside the building is a range of small shops, market and hawker stalls. 2 other hotels – the Shangri La and the Oriental are close by. There is a small temple with a reclining Buddha just a few minutes walk away.

Of to explore – a 5 minute stroll took us to the boat dock where we caught the water bus – very cheap and takes you to most tourist locations. Resist all the touts who try to sell you 1 hour river trips for a few thousand Baht. You can get to most of the major sites on the water bus. The sky train station is just next to the boat dock. Both boat and sky train are very cheap, easy to use and the operators speak good English.

To sum up – a fabulous place to stay in a very convenient location – I would go back tomorrow!

WILL COME BACK AGIAN!

by KALYANASUNDARAM from MALAYSIA, 19 Feb 06

Very good ambience and makes you feel at home. Good facilities and convenience to shopping and trains. Room layouts are very good and staffs are very helpful. This is my third stay within a year.

Wish there were such good rooms in other cities at this rate but have not found any so far!

Renovation needed

by KK from HK, 22 Mar 06

Very good location(next to pier and BTS station). However, room is too old (furnishers looks like been there for ages). Staff was not helpful. Hope they could do renovation soon (during our stay, there are some rooms under renovation, but only renovated the floor, not furnishers)

Luxury digs at bargain basement prices

by Kitty from Expat - Qatar, 1 Apr 06

I challenge anyone to find a better deal anywhere in the world! (OK, maybe this is hyperbole!) I knew nothing about Centrepoint and stayed there during a conference - while many colleagues paid $250 a night for the ShangriLa, we paid around $80, and in contrast to the Shangrila, there was always room to sit down for breakfast and the pool and health club were always empty. When I asked for an iron and board, on my way up to the room, housekeeping beat me there!!! The rooms are huge, clean, washer/dryer, great views. Next time in Bangkok, I'm there!
