Would go back only if I had to

by Richmond from Surrey, UK, 21 May 05

I had to stay here as my favorite hotel was fully booked. The hotel as a whole looks big and gives the appearance of luxury, but I care more about room quality. It was small compared to similar places near the area. Hotel restaurant staff very unfriendly on the evening. Massage information contradictory (don't ask the official massage people on the 6th floor, ask the front desk staff).

If this is your first time in BKK you might think its a good deal. its not bad. If you have stayed in other places you will know its pricier and rooms much smaller. Very nice swimming pool.

Above average

by Anonymous user from Australia, 16 Feb 06

Our room was great, clean and large enough, the only problem was the window between the bathroom and the bedroom - the shutters don't close completely. Also you can hear through to the next room a little. The breakfast had a good range to choose from and in a very nice, sunny room.

The main problem during my stay was that the hotel pool was totally closed for renovations for the period I was there - there was no mention of this when I booked the hotel at all. Very inconvenient. I would expect to be advised before or at least after booking my stay.

Overall the hotel was fine and I enjoyed my time there. Security is very tight... the US embassy is right next door.

I will choose here again for short stay (less than 3 nights)

by LEUNG JOANN YAN PUI from Hong Kong, 8 May 06

Good location, good staff, a bit old room but clean. Breakfast is OK. Close to BTS and taxi driver knows this place. Need to take BTS to go to shopping around Erawan..but still ok to me.

Also..Free wireless Internet access in the room!

Very, very average

by Chris from London, 1 Jun 06

Most of the front office stuff are rude and far from welcoming. Service is good at times and totally awful at others. Their fruit blender broke on the weekend and was still broken when I checked out (7 days later) - this made most of their drinks un-orderable (how hard is it to get a blender fixed?!). No-one ever bothers eating at the restaurant (except for the breakfast which is included) as the menu is totally boring.

Rooms are OK but if you order through a website such as this (to get a discount), you definitely get the 2nd-rate rooms. Plus side: gym is very good, swimming pool in the sun, very good location (near skytrain). Will try fraser suites next time - given this place enough chances!! Good luck

Quite fine

by Petr Zavadsky from Switzerland, 17 Oct 06

Just - be careful about early checking (<12AM), they charge you 50% of room price (full rate !), which I wasn't notified about and it created quite some fuss, Especially since room wasn't ready anyway when I arrived.

Quiet, very nice bathroom, Internet broadband, but - sub average.
