We enjoyed our stay

by Thomas L Danielsen from USA, 1 May 07

We stayed here primarily because it is near the new international airport because we were in transit. We found it totally adequate. We did end up staying 3 nights in a row unexpectedly and we were far from the goings on in Bangkok. The tour person at the hotel was most helpful in arranging things for us to do and lining up a wonderful driver. We recommend this hotel. The tour guide at the hotel is Mr. Boonlert Phosri and the driver was Thongsuk Sornsiri (Tel 086-0994990) He speaks pretty good English and is very friendly.

Good airport Hotel

by Annonymous User from Ontario, Canada, 30 Apr 07

We booked Grand Inn Come for a stop over in Bangkok as we had an early flight the next morning. I was very impressed. We had booked the round trip airport transfer and an employee was waiting for us and quickly took us to the hotel. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport which was perfect. I didn't know what to expect of the hotel - but it was great for what we needed. The staff was very helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable for the night with functional air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had lots of choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere close to the new airport for a Bangkok stopover.

Perfect to fly from Bangkok (NEW AIRPORT)

by MASSIMILIANO from switzerland, 23 Apr 07

If you need to fly from the new airport of Bangkok this is just perfect both in terms of location and cost. Good and modern hotel. The rooms are OK. The only think which is missing is a swimming pool. If you want to visit Bangkok, this hotel is not central enough.

Ok, as long as there is no other cheap hotel close to the airport

by Wolfgang Kurt Mischke from Pranburi, Thailand, 23 Apr 07

HOTEL WAS BETTER THAN AWAITED. Quite big rooms, if even a little bit worn out furniture. But clean and comfortable bed. Amenities over average for a 3star.

Close to new airport, but elsewhere in the middle of nowhere. So no shops and restaurants nearby.

And for the not so open-minded too many ^nice^ girls around, i.e. hotel more or less a brothel.

Worst hotel we have ever stay!!!!

by SUJAREE YOUNG from las vegas,nv, 10 Apr 07

Booked triple room, thinking that there will be another adult bed but got semi toddler's bed. Woke up the next morning all of us got mosquito bites at least 6-10 bites each. Breakfast was terrible, no air conditioning through out the hotel except in your room.

We check out so fast the next morning and stay in a different hotels thru out our vacation. It was wonderful the rest of our vacation. You would have to pay us big money plus bug guard spray for us to stay in this hotel again. What do I like about this hotel..... nothing!!!!!!!!

Close enough for comfort

by Todd H. from Kathmandu, Nepal, 20 Mar 07

Nice hotel with a friendly staff - some of them a bit too friendly about asking us for a Thai massage six or seven times - if you've been to Thailand, you know what I mean. The location leaves something to be desires, since it is in a business/industrial district, so there were no restaurants nearby. It was about 10 minutes from the new airport and they picked us up without a problem. The rooms were very clean and simple but nice.

convenience is the key

by Anonymous user from Minnesota, USA, 20 Mar 07

The price is right, the staff are solicitous, the hotel is close to the new Bangkok airport, and hotel van was waiting for me at the airport with my name card held up. As a woman traveling alone in a foreign country, the security of having my transportation all arranged ahead of time meant a lot. My only complaint is that the room air was set for very cold and it took me a good part of the night to get it adjusted -- a minor issue.

Good enough for an inexpensive layover.

by Celo S. from Vancouver, Canada, 11 Mar 07

We stayed there twice in three weeks. It was a central location to stay for a night while waiting for connecting flights. They picked us up right from the airport and 10 minutes later we were at the hotel. The location makes it a great place to lay your head down for a night and to take a quick shower.

Although, we normally stay in relatively posh hotels, but given that we only had a 10 hour layover, there was no point to pay for a luxurious hotel. Therefore, this was fine for the layover and we were able to overlook a lot of the little details... bad breakfast, and a less than impeccably clean room, in the middle of no where (45 minutes - 2 hours from downtown, depending on traffic at a cost of about 400 - 500 Baht).

Would recommend it for only a one night stay.

Good, cheap airport hotel

by Anonymous user from Melbourne, Australia, 10 Mar 07

We stayed at the Grand Inn Come twice and chose it for convenience - as we had two early morning flights out of Bangkok. The location is great - costs about 70-80 Baht to get to the airport and around 300 Baht to MBK.

The rooms were large and clean, but the beds were really hard! All the employees we dealt with were very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel if you require easy access to the airport.

Short stay

by John from Townsville, Australia, 9 Mar 07

Stayed for one day March 2007, as had 17 hour wait for connecting flight. Picked up by hotel minibus, good clear sign, unlike some of the handwritten types held up by other drivers at airport. Hotel in fairly ordinary area on main road, but good for access to airport, about 10 minutes away, and considering how close it is to road and airport runway, I found it quiet.

Booked superior single, was given twin, room was large and cool. Only fault I found was shower head did not fit wall mounting, making water spray direction a bit interesting. Breakfast OK, did not eat any other meals there, but the prices for light meals seemed good. Was offered taxi (return) to city centre for 1,000 baht, not sure if this was a good price, but there are plenty of the open back buses passing hotel if you want to try that transport.

I'd have no problem staying here again if I had a long wait. Staff, especially the porters and drivers, were excellent, and very polite.
