“After returning from Bali I stayed at Grand Inn Hotel Sukhumvit on Soi Nana. This is not a new hotel but rather a refurbished one. And the refurbishments seem to be mostly cosmetic. I think most of their budget went into web design!
On the plus side, the help was friendly.
On the negative . . . the free internet access in your room costs 150 baht a day; I did not opt for the breakfast (which you pay extra for) and am glad I didn’t as their restaurant is one table in the lobby.
Small room for a ‘suite’. Smallest TV I’ve ever seen and the cable for reception was problematic even though the bell hop tried to fix it several times. Good water pressure in the shower, might be put to a good use in trying to remove the mold from the tub. Old a/c unit that on high finally cooled the room down around 3 am in the morning . . . by 9am it was stuffy in the room again.
The hotel map tries to show its location by the Nana Hotel, but it is actually on the opposite side of Sukhumvit and the taxi drivers do not like stopping at the hotel because of the heavy traffic (a first for me to experience in Bangkok . . . the not wanting to stop, not the traffic!). Supposedly within walking distance of the BTS Nana station - but that’s a long walk. I’d give it a 3 out of 10.”

Bars, pubs, and clubs are all within walking distances - the Bed Superclub, Nana Entertainment Plaza, and many more!!!. Bangkok is also internationally recognized for medical tourism. The most well-known and respected hospital in Asia, "Bumrungrad", is just right around the corner.
