Budget ; OK

by Tham Sai Keun from Selangor, Malaysia, 23 Apr 07

GOOD cuz ...

- smack in the middle of the main shopping area, yet not on the main road (so it's hard to find but not much dirt and noise from the busy bustly roads)
- cheap, simple and comfy if you don't expect luxury
- decent breakfast
- very warm staff and though they don't converse in English heavily, they try their best and it really helps
- Spa Buri within the hotel itself, easy quick way to get a massage or two under the same roof
- not one but two 7-ELEVEN's right outside at the main road, along with a Burger Kings and Pizza place opening up to midnight for a late snack
- walking distance to Pantip Plaza, Platinum and Pratunam shopping centres
- the hotel looks small but i think it's cosy and neat

BAD cuz ...
- warm water not sufficient or not warm enough
- air-conditioning may be noisy at night as each unit is adjacent to each other with a good chance that their air-con vent unit is facing ur room window
- only good for a place to bunk and sleep, otherwise TV doesn't have good channels, not much room space, no view at all (all you see if concrete).
- not well known, so some cab drivers may find a hard time locating it, you need to get off the main road on a small lane to reach the hotel
- furniture are pretty old, a little run down but works fine

OVERALL ... if you wanna visit Bangkok on a budget and won't stay in ur room much besides sleeping/napping and the breakfast, this is the place for you.

Not too bad

by Sharifah Melanie Syed Putra Jamalullail from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 15 Aug 07

The hotel's location is not so convenient as it still takes 10 minute to walk to the nearest BTS station. It is too hot to do so in the hot Bangkok sun.

Will book thru 'AtSiam.com' again!

by Just mum from Singapore, 9 Jun 08

The room is run-down with old and uncomfortable beds, shower not working properly, no hot water, buffet breakfast with small selection and some dishes have turned sour.

Air-con is good, service is good, location is excellent...we took the free shuttle service to Siam Paragon everyday. From there everywhere is easily accessible by BTS......no taxi throughout this trip i.e. no traffic jam!!!

Pleased with AtSiam.com service and arrangement, will book through you again.

THEIR EXCELLENT SERVICES

by Anonymous User from Singapore, 16 Mar 08

I pretty like their services over there, they are very polite in welcoming us and sending us back and answered every of our doubts clearly,in fact i think their services worth going again even though the overall hotel management is not what I expected ,E,g there's no kettle for us to boil water, less varieties for breakfast...

Overall stay was still fantastic because of their willingness in services!

Will be back once the renovation is completed

by Michael van Groenigen from Noord Holland, Netherlands, 18 Feb 08

The hotel was conveniently located for exploring the Pratunam Fashion area. The stayed 2 nights with 3 adults and 2 children in the family suite. The 2 bedroom suite with kitchenette was outdated and the furniture old but we were informed that the hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. No noise and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable.

Cheap and good

by Adeline from Selangor, Malaysia, 21 Mar 08

Looks a bit old, but you what you get is what you paid for. I think they are in the midst of renovating the place.

Air-con is cold, which is good. Water heater works well. Small fridge, comfortable beds.

All you need for a good night's sleep.

Breakfast is the usual American breakfast with some Thai specialty, was not bad the first day but the menu is the same everyday so you tend to get sick of it.

Overall, good value for money if you intend to be out most of the day.

Room for Improvement

by Loon Wai Yit from Singapore, 21 Jan 08

The place need renovation which they are doing now. Should at least have kettle for family room for making baby milk. Provide coffee and tea bags would be a positive move.Convenient located walking distance to Siam BTS station & major shopping centre. Would definitely go back to stay only after their renovation works.

value for money and good location

by KRISTINE RUBIO CHENG from PHILIPPINES, 30 Oct 08

Hi ... we stayed there about 5 days ... ago location ... great foods ... but please improve the cleanliness. Maybe they have some renovation in 5th floor ... better to inform the hotel to have the new renovated rooms in 5th floor. Very quiet in spite of the location that is in the middle of the Bangkok's busiest streets..another thing is the spa buri...very nice...

Kitchnet without facilities.

by Mahfoor Bin Harron from N.Sembilan, Malaysia, 20 Nov 08

Location is its strongest point. Its close to BTS station, walking distance to shopping areas, except that its a little off the main road. I stayed in a 2 bed room apartment ment for family. There was a kitchnet complete with hot stove and a few plates. Would have been better if the hotel could provide facilities for coffee making ( an electric cattle will do). My request for hot water was responded with them asking me to personally go down to the restaurant, borrow a flask filled with hot water every time the need arise. That's room service Thai style?.
The corridors leading to the room was badly lighted, improvement is badly needed here.

Breakfast was uninspiring. Juices were laden with sugar. My request for plain water went unheeded. The waitress couldn't understand even a simple English. Management should look into this minor details which could meant a lot for us travelers/guest.

ok BUT...

by Cynthia from Malaysia, 24 Apr 06

The staff at the receiption & restaurant are very polite & helpful. Walk to BTS is a bit far (if you have a lot of shopping bags to carry, even worse). And no attraction nearby. Carpet & bathroom/toilet need upgrading.
