I wouldn't recommend this
by anon from malaysia, 7 Oct 05
This place is awful. Pictures couldn't have been further from the truth - I have seen nothing in this hotel that has been reflected in the photo gallery.
The rooms are old, dark and dirty looking. Was first put up in a room which could only be described as an old, dirty looking motel room posing as a hotel room or serviced apartment. Water leaked onto the floor when I showered. Was transferred to a bigger room which was slightly better but still looked worn. Bed was uncomfortable. Everything in the room made noise, the fridge, the pipes, the air conditioning.
But the staff were nice and accommodating. The only merit of this place, besides its 3-4 movie channels.

Not suitable for family with young children
by Eve from Singapore, 24 Nov 05
Stayed at the court wing which is across the main building. Old looking building and interior is old gloomy and carpet is very dirty but it is very quiet.
It rained one night and the lane to this court wing is flooded knee high. Choose the main building room (newly renovated and clean) when you book this hotel. It takes 10 mins to walk to the main road and BTS. If you have young children on stroller, it is not advisable.

Great value for a stay in Bangkok
by Courtney Malone from Dubai, 7 Jan 07
We used to live in Bangkok and knew the Royal President before booking. Rooms are spacious and clean, easy access to transport and shopping. Great deal for a nice clean spot with no frills in the city.
