Pleasant stay

by Lau from Singapore, 25 Jun 06

The staff are friendly and polite. Room is spacious though the place does look a little old. Breakfast was quite enjoyable given the choices of food. Good location as the airport shuttle stops right outside the hotel.

Highly recommended.

by Shahrul Nizam Mohd Basari from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia., 3 Jul 06

The best thing about the hotel is its location, esp for Muslims, as it is very close to a number of good Muslim restaurants and stalls. Skytrain station is also just a couple of blocks away - another plus point to the hotel. The hotel itself is great - friendly service, very clean, etc.

The only complaint is the view from the room, but that is not the hotel's fault. Overall, highly recommended for Muslims travelling on an average budget but looking for a good quality hotel.

Good value for $$

by July06 Travellor from Singapore, 5 Jul 06

Was rather sceptical about the hotel at first but when I saw the room, it was very clean and cozy. Though the room was rather small but it was definitely sufficient for twin-sharing. Only thing was you have to request for the hair-dryer from the reception and have to collect it personally.

Reception staff service was overall OK only, breakfast comes in sets and not buffet style, which suits my taste. But for big eaters, probably might be too small a portion.

Overall, this hotel is definitely value for money as it is located near the BTS.

Nice comfortable place, will stay there again in future

by azuary aka TerNaKaL from Lion City Causeway Bay Singapore, 5 Sep 06

Taxi driver knows well about this hotel, nice comfortable room. Outside view not that interesting but that doesn't matter. Breakfast a la carte style, nice but too little for me. Anyway for Muslim tourist you can go to Makyah Muslim Restaurant situated at 497/16 Petchburi Rd, Rajthevi Bangkok, along The Road Beside Soi 7. Go out from the hotel, cross the street and walk toward the right. You will enjoy the food beside it's cheap, very nice delicious food. Yummy!!!...

Never Again

by Anonymous User from Singapore, 23 Nov 06

Rooms small and dark. Restaurant staff helpful but food uninspiring. Breakfast too small a portion. Quiet walk to room not bright enough, hotel should try to upgrade bathroom. Everything in there falling apart. Unless on a very tight budget do not stay at this hotel

Good choice for budget traveler.

by Mandy from Malaysia, 28 Sep 06

Most of the taxi driver is not familiar with this place, please bring the hotel name card along when you are out. Rooms is clean, the only things is the walkway from lift to room, a bit quite. Walking distance about 15min to shopping area, recommend for budget traveler.

I'd stay again

by Theresa from Philippines, 19 Sep 06

This is a good value for money place to stay. If you're looking to just find a safe, convenient and a presentable hotel without the other frills, this hotel is a good choice. The bathrooms are very clean and functional. The housekeeping staff are trustworthy and make your bed up every time. The location is its best asset, as the nearest BTS station is only minutes away.

Thumbs up!

by CS from Kuala Lumpur, 13 Nov 06

Inexpensive, good location (5-10min walk to Ratchathewi BTS), good yet cheap food can be found in the vicinity. Can't really compare with other hotels at same range but I'll definitely stay here my nest visit.

Ideal in every way

by andrew knight from france, 14 Nov 06

Good location for shopping, central location to access all sites of interest, airport bus AE2 drops you right outside the door, and spotlessly clean, all you need at an affordable price, will go back.

I will definitely return to Samran!

by Sudesh T from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 1 Dec 06

The close proximity to the MRT station was definitely a plus point. Of course the breakfast was not buffet style, i.e. you chose from a choice of set breakfast items. Quite alright actually, but the portions are quite small (since we need all the extra energy to roam around Bangkok!). Eating outside the hotel is also very convenient, if you're not particular about fancy eateries, there are lots of roadside stalls open at night with lots of interesting things to eat.
