Not a bad choice to be there once more but I would rather go to some place else because Hotels are one thing that Bangkok has more than enough

by Sue Chung from South Korea, 12 Jun 08

I really enjoyed my staying here, service was good (free drinks and snacks for the guests in the bar) and the staffs were more than willing to help you out.

But Davis is located about 20 mins (by walk) away from the BTS station and the road is bumpy and dirty due to heavy construction going on in neighborhood area, And also, Davis is consist of main building and corner wing. The corner wing is newly built accommodation but they lack the facility such as swimming pool, gym, etc. Although main building and corner wing are located close to each other, you may want to consider which one you want to be in during your stay,

Highly recomended!

by Therese Westerdahl from Sweden, 23 Feb 08

Absolutely fantastic hotel with extremely helpful staff! Good, generous breakfast, luxurious rooms even though we stayed in one of the cheapest ones. Nice with a swimming pool on the roof. Can“t think of any disadvantages.

BEAUTIFUL!

by ANDREA from ITALY< MILAN, 26 Jan 08

The Davis is a dream come true! The service is fantastic and the room is amazing! The location is a bit far if you want to go to visit the temples and the grand palace. Saying that, you can take the sky train or the tube, which are just a few minutes away.

We loved and we certainly will come back here again!

by SHIN CHANG BONG from GYEONGGI-DO, South Korea, 12 Dec 07

This hotel is not same with others that is in Bangkok. Most of all very clean and style is very good. if I go to Bangkok again, I'm going to stay again. But there is one thing that I disappointed is breakfast ... no taste.

Would go back to the Davis Corner Wing

by peter rodger from Vic, Australia, 29 Nov 07

We stayed at the Davis hotel twice in 2 weeks, first time in the old building in a Superior Room, plenty of room well appointed but was very musty after being closed without air conditioning all day.

Second time was in the new corner wing this was cheaper, very modern and clean . Staff were very obliging and helpful.

There was one particular Doorman named Billy he was excellent and had good English language skills. Breakfasts were good value with a variety of food for all nationalities.

We found the hotel was conveniently situated for food and shopping and a shuttle to the station was an added bonus. There was a problem with the accidental breakage of a soap container and if we had not complained to the Hotel Manager about the poor design it could have cost 200 Bht. Not a lot but it is the principle when all care was taken. The Housekeeping supervisor was very rude regarding this matter and we informed Management that we were not very happy about the incident.

Good one

by Adnan Moosa from Karachji,Pakistan, 8 Aug 07

I stayed there for three nights and found value for money except the service staff specially night shift is quite lazy & careless. They missed my dinner order and when I asked after an hour staff said the person has left and forget ordering.

Otherwise everything is new and cleaner.

Bangkok Heaven

by Kenneth R Tabak from Chapel Hill, NC USA, 19 Jun 06

I had the opportunity to stay at the Davis in May and found it excellent. They upgrade us to a suite for the same price; great breakfast; good area and would definitely stay there again. The ninth floor pool with its fountains is great with a view of the city; it's a gem when you need a few days to catch up from jet lag.

Davis will bring you back again

by RL from Singapore, 23 Jan 06

The design room is wonderful, though there is not much of a view. The attention to details in the rooms is great, with good toiletries and amenities, down to plush pillows and towels, and weighing scales, BODUM apparatus and Sony hifi system. Even the remote controls are mock-leather bound.

The service is good too and the staff is always attentive and helpful. I like the rooftop pool, which may be small but is well appointed. The downside is the location which is a good 20 min walk from Emporium, but a taxi ride from the main road is only 35baht. There is an excellent Thai restaurant Sukthothai at the adjacent Camp Davis, and other eateries and Starbuck too.

I will return without a doubt. Great value indeed.

We can't wait to go back!

by Tksh from USA, 23 Jan 06

Everything was so great especially the room. I like the decoration and bath area! very great value. I will stay at this hotel again! I love the design.

But only one thing is we have to take Taxi to the sky train station. Anyway, they have a nice shopping area and quite lot of restaurant around there, that you almost no need to go out to the main street.

Looking forward to my next visit!

by George Reinhart from Boston, MA, 22 Jan 06

The Davis is a very warm and friendly hotel. It's a real gem. I completely enjoyed my stay there and recommend it highly to business travelers and families with children. Bonus: There's a Starbucks one door down.
