Never Again

Stayed from 20th to 23rd March 2007. We had booked 1 week but checked out after 3 days. Juvenile cockroaches everywhere including the breakfast. The staff were horrendous. Every time we walked past reception there would be someone loudly complaining. My trouble was calling an outside sport massage service. They insisted that 400 Baht was paid although the therapist was only there for 1 hour. The girl in reception showed me the hotel policy that clearly states overnight guests have to pay extra. She was unmoved when I pointed out that the therapist was there for 1 hour only and was gone before midnight and began swearing at me in Thai. Never never again. Went to Unico Grande which was great.

There's a room for improvement

A lot of mosquitoes in the lobby. Hotel access only from Soi 5 or Soi 11 due to one way caused problem when first visit. Should provide info to the guest how to get there when booking made.

Worst ever in Thailand

I had booked room for 3 days. When I came to the room, I was really disappointed. The carpets was the most dirty I've ever seen. And the room smell so bad. The door to the balcony had no look. First thing I did was to take a beer from mini-bar, but it was warm, the mini-bar was turned off. After 10 mins I went down to reception and told I would have my money back (1,700 bath a night). They give me a new room, a little bit better. After 3 days I changed hotel.

What a special hotel!

We were there during Dec, 2006. It's a horrible experience. The hotel is like jungle. No kidding, the rooms are dirty and you can see cockroach running in the bathroom. Hotel staff aren't friendly at all. By the way, don't consider car rental in the hotel. The rental told me full day rental for 2000B wherever we like to go, then he asked us for 900B extra for going to airport after we paid for rental.

Worst hotel of the year in bkk

We were there in 12/2006. It's the worst hotel ever. Rooms are dirty with cockroach everywhere. The hotel staff didn't care about it. Also the hotel car rental guy tries to trick us for more money. You're risking your own life if you go there. Take care.

Highly Recommended

Look, you pay very little for a room here, yet its nice and quiet, very clean room, good a/c and breakfast is OK, (go for the fresh omlette!) Staff very friendly too. Located in ideal place for business and/or nightlife. The management will do anything to assist you. I got a taxi/hire car and driver very cheap for the whole day. Pool is clean and fresh. Bedding clean every day. No its not 5 star but its good value for money, safe and secure. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Need just to cross the street to Beergarten

Location is perfect. Room is a little dirty. Carpet should be cleaned. Aircon is not working well. Otherwise this hotel is fine, but seems to be difficult to get a king size bed. Good breakfast.

Simple with Character

The Park Hotel is a simple but character inspired hotel. It is no Hilton but its also reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and the location was fantastic! Our favourite part was the elevator. Check it out!

Dirty carpets!!!!

I've stayed at the Park many times, staff are good, location great, rooms OK prices have risen recently. But please for goodness sake change the filthy carpets, they make the place look bad and some of my friends will not stay there as a result.

Value for $$$$$

Good location, room is spacious but old. TV has limited cable channels but good enough. Anything outside the room has no air con, breakfast is OK. Lift is very "unique", must try. Overall value for money and OK for those just need a room to stay.
