Plaza Hotel Bangkok Reviews & Ratings

I've been to this hotel quite a few times in the past. The level of service was acceptable on all my visits except the last one.

I told the reception desk 3 times that the A/C was not working. As I was checking out, I asked the man behind the counter, who identified himself as Burin, if he could explain why they never fixed the A/C. He simply ignored my question. I asked him again after all the paper work was done; again, no response at all. I then asked him if he understood what I was saying, -- to which he responded 'no.' Either he has a selective understanding of English or he simply did not want to talk about it.

I then asked if the manager was in. He then crains his neck and looks into the lobby area and then reports he thinks he is not in. So I ask him, "Do you know when he will be in?" To which he says he thinks the manager will in in the afternoon; he would not give me a definite time.

Realizing I was not going to get anywhere with him I asked him to put his name in a piece of paper so that I don't get it wrong. I seriously doubt the management will do anything about it since he apparently has been working at this hotel a long time. Hopefully the comments here will help someone out.

Second time in my life (2004 and 2007), I stayed this time 5 days in the deluxe room. What I like in this hotel, it's his location. That's all!

The hotel seems quite old, and staff can not speak or understand English 100%. The staff is not smiling anymore, and seems upset on each request. In 2004, it was much better.

I don't think, I will be back next time. Anyway, normal price is acceptable, but they still charge for guest 600 Bath per night from 6pm-6am and 600 Bath for very poor extra bed.

I check-in twice this year in May and September,Excellent location,Just walking distance to shopping areas,clubs and bars.BTS station is about 10 minutes.

Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Room is comfortable and large.Swimming pool a bit small but is clean. B'fast is good. I will love to come back again because it is great value for money.

I liked everything, I stayed at the Plaza Hotel Bangkok before, and I will come back, the rooms are really comfortable, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast is very good, and the service is excellent, thank you.

Better than my expectation, good service and big room. not far away from oriental ferry, breakfast also good. The hot water is much better than the one on Phuket. Can help to release my tiredness. Only spend one night there, and can not give more feedback. Overall, it is a excellent 3* hotel.
