Decent price for a decent hotel

by W. Chan from NY, United States, 18 Jun 08

I stayed here for 26 nights during the month of June in a superior room. The first room I was given on the 5th floor the toilet in my room had a strong sewer like odor. I requested a room change and was given another room on the 5th floor instantly. My new room had a similar problem but the smell was noticeably less and it comes and goes.

The breakfast is really nothing to applaud about but the food is edible. The location is far off from all the major tourist sites, so if this is the first time you're visiting Bangkok I wouldn't really recommend this hotel.

Overall this hotel is priced accordingly.

So so!!! As expected for the price

by Anonymous User from BKK, 17 Jan 06

The place is new and clean. Good decoration. I like the hotel style. I don't like the location much but it's not that bad. The service were not good. Staffs were unfriendly.

Will be back again!

by Anonymous User, 17 Jan 06

Good place, nice room and design. The only disadvantage is that it is not close to city center, most of the taxi drivers don't want to go there. It is convenient to go city by MRT, the journey time is short also.

I will make a reservation again on my next trip.

by OPEL from Ubonratchathani, 17 Jan 06

Good decoration. Nice room and design. This hotel is good enough for its reasonable price. The location is convenient to travel around the town by the subway. We don't mind to come back again!

Good New Hotel

by Salome Ng from Hong Kong, 17 Jan 06

I like the hotel, it is very close to MRT station but I think it is a little far away from the central of Bangkok. The room is new and large. The service is vvvvvvery good. The staff are nice!

Enjoy to live in this hotel.

Nice!

by Wayne Gillespie from Milton Keynes, England, 26 May 06

We booked a suite with jacuzzi. The room was huge and full-equipped. Breakfast was nice. It is very close to a subway station so you can travel around without bad traffics.

Overall, we had enjoyable stay and we don't mind to come back!

A for room, C for location

by Spophie Liu from singapore, 31 May 06

The location is the biggest vice. The taxi rides to town cost between 100-150B (highly dependent on your bargaining skill) although if you are thinking of taking the subway there is a subway station within 5mins walk. Otherwise the place is pretty pleasant.

The decoration of the room is especially modern and tastefully done. The staff are helpful enough but generally don't speak very good english.

Recommended

by Kitty from Hong Kong, 1 Aug 06

I have stayed in room 402 and 404, both rooms were facing the main road -- the road was in maintenance just outside the hotel, in the evening they put a metal plate on it so whenever cars drove through it was extremely noisy. But it was just temporary. REQUEST A ROOM NOT FACING THE ROAD EARLY, just in case.

Room 402 was the pink and stylish one, it was really new and clean. The drawback (for us) was that it had a really open bathroom. There was a curtain that separated the bathroom and the bedroom, but the curtain was almost transparent.

Room 404 was the yellow and still stylish one. But it looked a bit old (still okay). The bathroom had curtain too, and the toilet had a door, so it had more privacy than room 402. Both rooms were equipped with a bed-side remote control that could control almost everything, it was really awesome.

The breakfast was good and with wide variety. Staff were nice, and especially the housekeeper was extremely helpful though she didn't speak Thai.

Location was convenient, it was on the main road. The police station was just next to it, 5 min walk from the Suttisan MRT station (2 stations away from Carrefour, Jusco and Robinson, 15 min for MRT transportation. Don't take taxi although it was cheap, the traffic could be really bad because the main road was busy).

One thing I didn't really like was that there were stairs at the entrance of the hotel, and there were normally no bellboys available when you arrived. So we had to carry all our luggage through the stairs before we reached the reception.

Ah, something that I found valuable but the hotel didn't advertise it -- FREE Internet in room (bring your laptop).

Maybe go back

by VAI FU VENG from macau, 12 Sep 06

2 Mins to Suthisan station. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff not good because my door very hard to close and open. I asked for change other room. But they just send a man to check the door and do nothing. The breakfast is so bad. I suggest to eat outside.

Coming back next month

by Dr. Bob from Miami (FL/USA), 2 Nov 06

I stayed here for five nights, in the suite/jaccuzi room. Very modern and well-maintained. Wireless internet in lobby, LAN wired in rooms. Five minutes to MRT, seven to 7-11. Breakfast & selection good. Do not stay here if you want to walk to an outside restaurant/bar. But all is within a stop or two on the MRT.

Parking was a plus to, for my drive-in visitors!
