Try the Tai Pan Hotel instead.

by Random Person from AZ, United States, 6 Jul 08

The picture looks far better then it really is. I was really surprised (in a bad way) about the accommodations. I could get better at a motel 6 for about the same price after price conversion. Rooms smelled bad on the second stay.

The location is okay, near the main drag. Pretty of bars very close by too, if is that is your thing.

I personally will not be spending my money on this hotel again. I took a tour of the Tai Pan hotel while I was in Bangkok. For about 500 to 1000 baht more, you get a far better room, and I think a much better value.

The Heart of The City

by Mark Francis Lucas from Victoria, Australia, 12 Apr 08

Great Hotel. Staff are always very helpful.
Location terrific, very close to Skytrain and all the major shopping centers. MBK,The Big C, Imax Cinema, Underwater World all short Taxi drive or about $1or $2 on the back of a Motor Bike Taxi.

Hotel has wireless high speed internet for your Laptop.

It has swimming pool and bar on the roof with great views of the city at night. A lot of young Europeans seem to stay there.
The buffet breakfast is excellent and the food in general is of high standard.

Just off the beaten path

by Joe Doaks from CA, United States, 5 Mar 08

A great discovery! If it were 100 meters closer to Sukhumvit it would be perfect, but you can take the hotel's tuk-tuk shuttle or pay 20 baht for a bike. No big deal. Other than that, good breakfast buffet (included), nice room, friendly staff. I was very happy there.

Get a moto-taxi

by Bas from Holland, 21 May 05

Location is pretty good IF you are willing to hop on a mototaxi from the beginning of the street and/or back. Its a bit too long walk from the skytrain, especially cause the first few 100 metres you are confronted with the imfamous entertainment section of soi 4. But get a moto to the skytrain station 2 minutes 10 or 20 bath, whatever you are up to.

Terrible Hotel

by Philip F. Orso from Pompano Beach, Florida, 21 May 05

The hallways and rooms were in terrible condition. The air conditioning was noisy and dirty. The bathroom was so old with cracked tiles. I would never stay there again. The buffet breakfast was Ok but not special as the coffee was terrible.

You will not regret it :)

by Marcus from Singapore, 21 May 05

A nice hotel to stay a couple of days in a central location but still a quite place at the end of Soi 4. The only negative thing are the taxi touts who park their "meter taxi" the whole day in front of the hotel but will drive you only to the airport.....for a ridiculous high price. Flag down one on the street.

Otherwise I can fully recommend the hotel and will stay there again when time allows.

In addition the service of AtSiam is simply perfect :).

Great Value

by Anonymous user from Tulsa, Ok, 23 May 05

Great value for the money. It is within walking distance of many bars and restaurants yet it is in a quiet spot. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The rooms are basic but clean. I stayed in a suite which was like a normal sized room in North America. I would stay here again.

Well..no comments

by Anonymous user, 24 May 05

The staff were really unhelpful and non-smiling. No Patience or ability to solve the problem without showing their annoyance.

Need staff who are trained to talk to the customers and serve them sweetly with a SMILE!! it would surely go a long way!

Feel like home in this hotel.

by Rinus Bremer from Netherlands, 27 May 05

Woraburi hotel is located in Sukumvit Road Soi 4. It is a small but cozy hotel. Price/quality is good. Staff is friendly and the service is OK. In the rooms not much noise from traffic. I always stay there the first 4 or 5 days when I arrive in Thailand and I like it every time. Booking a room through Internet atsiam.com is cheaper than the walk-in rate.
