Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok Reviews & Ratings

Went on a 'soft opening' special and the hotel is one of the best if you want to stay in the heart of the action . . rooms are great with a big tv, big bed and great bathrooms. . even if the rooms are a shared space.

Barman at pool wasn`t always around. Spa was great with staff being extremely friendly, helpful and receptive to suggestions. Executive Suite had a good view, spacious and very clean.

Live music at lobby bar was much too cheesy, but not everyone has the same music tastes, I guess. Breakfast buffet was fabulous with wide range.

I’d chosen the Zenith for its close proximity to Bumrungrad Hospital (walking distance 5 mins), and I found the whole duration of stay far from pleasant. I booked a room on Hemingway floor. Two sets of towels were missing in the bathroom. Furnishing and fixture has seen their days many years ago and look rundown. TV is 1980-type. Room construction was bad generally and sound proofing in walls was bad that I always overheard conversation next door as way as everything someone turned on the water tap or flushed their toilets. What was most appalling was the way the bath tub was built; causing overflowing of water along the sides onto the floor. To make things worse, hotel renovation was ongoing and noise from drilling and construction started from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM including Saturday.

On hide sight, the rate of a Hemingway club room was in fact similar to that of a Superior Room in a 4-star property along Sukhumvit, and given the choice again in future, I would be much happier to opt for the latter.

This was the third time I have stayed here, They have done a wonderful refurbish job to the Hemingway rooms. As usual not much action going on in the bar, but the Bamboo bar, and Nana Nana are just a few minutes walk away.

They have a very good breakfast buffet set up that is replenished on a regular basis. I will stay again next year. Even closer to new airport than old Don.
