Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Overview

Dhara Dhevi comes from the Sanskrit words meaning “Star Goddess”, epitomising romance, mystique and legendary beauty, the same qualities found at the resort.

The resort's myriad facilities include The Dheva Spa and Wellness Centre, tennis courts,2 swimming pools, a choice of stylish restaurants nad bars, the Oriental Culinary Academy, Lanna Kids Club and Kad Dhara or a shopping village in traditional Thai houses, all offering guests a complete resort experience.

Additionally, a variety of educational, art and culture activities are available. Explore further to find out why Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi is the perfect retreat from which to explore the rich cultural heritage of Northern Thailand.

The Resort’s design draws from authentic Lanna architectures - found across Northern Thailand, South China, Laos and Myanmar - and Asian colonial splendour. Traditional wooden rice barns, ornate royal- inspired structures and magnificent colonial mansions were erected in clusters providing luxury accommodation, restaurants and recreational areas. The ambience is of a richly restored heritage, comparable to a living historic monument.

Location

Located in the Northern part of Thailand, Chiang Mai was founded in 1261 and is the kingdom’s second largest city. Known as the "Lanna Kingdom" which influenced the region for 300 years from the end of the 13th century, this is an ideal base from which to explore the region’s rich heritage.
