Good hotel

by Benjamas Cook, 6 Aug 07

I and friend stayed there 3 nights, we really like this hotel, new and clean ... staff so friendly.

Located near night bazaar only about 10 mins walk but you will enjoy that they have small shop and foot massage by the road (60B/30 mins) wow!

Good breakfast ... only one thing no have is the pool. I'll stay again.

We are happy to stay at Raming Lodge

by wanida muller from Indonesia/Germany, 15 Jan 08

We stayed at Raming Lodge from 4th – 8th January 2008. Our rooms were lovely as we have expected. The mattresses are very good to sleep in. The location of the hotel is very good, there are many interesting places around the hotel that we did on foot.

However, the street is very lively and colorful at night, so it was a bit noisy at time but interesting, not sure how it is for the rooms on lower floors as we stayed on the 6th floor, we could just closed the door.

We would come back and stay at the hotel again.

We are very happy with the service of AtSiam too.

Wonderful time

by MR. BEARDSLEY, Fred B from United States, 24 Apr 08

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The rooms are great and the service was excellent.

You're right in the middle of downtown so everything is very close. You are within walking distance to both night and Sunday markets. There is always transportation available right out in front of the hotel, and they have a local tour guide section in the lobby of the hotel.

The free breakfast is incredible with many selections and even made to order egg omelets. As far as we are concerned, this is the best buy in Chiang Mia!!

We did find it cheaper to book your own transportation and have them take you to the mountains (20 Miles), where all of the major tour attractions are on one road within a few miles of each other.

Fantastic

by Begreen777 from San Francisco, 8 Apr 08

The Raming Lodge is an excellent choice if you are staying in Chiang Mai. I visited Chiang Main twice in 2007. I stayed at the Raming lodge both times for an extended period of time. My room was always clean and service was superior. The service staff were always available to assist in making my stay more comfortable and carefree.

This hotel was very nice!

by Jennifer, United States from United States, 16 Mar 08

This hotel was very nice! We stayed in 4 hotels all throughout Thailand and this one by the best. It's definitely the only one I feel compelled to write a review for. The location in Chiang Mai was ideal, everything was walkable or was a $1.00 tuk-tuk ride away. The rooms were clean and beautiful.

Everything was included, the mini bar, breakfast, shuttle, we didn't pay for a thing other than the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was unbeatable. I would highly recommend the Raming Lodge

Great all round

by MS. ZHU, Judy from Australia, 5 Apr 08

My stay at Raming Lodge was very pleasant. The hotel staff were all very accommodating and happy to serve. Considering how much you pay for the accommodation, Raming Lodge is value for money! The rooms are spacious and the buffet breakfast is filled with variety. Great all round!

“Great value, luxurious rooms and very friendly staff”

by hawking1 from boston, 1 May 08

I also booked the Raming Lodge having read the reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. It was great value, the rooms were luxurious and the staff were very friendly. the location was great too. being 6ft 5 i often struggle to find a bed large enough for me but this one was massive !

Above all, the attitude and dedication of the staff would have made this a great place to stay even if everything else had been mediocre.

A lovely hotel

by Max_Smith from Scarborough, 8 Apr 08

I picked the Raming Lodge Hotel after reading reviews.

The hotel is well located just outside the old city, the night bizarre is just a few minutes walk down the road and there are lots of small shops and bars along the road.

We spent four nights at the hotel after spending three nights in Bangkok.
The hotel is quite new and has standard rooms, deluxe rooms, suites, etc; we stayed in a deluxe room which was very clean and well equipped. We had fruit provided every day and where not charged for the water from the mini bar.

The breakfast was a buffet style with a huge choice, one day we had lunch in the restaurant which is very nicely decorated, and the food was very good.

The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and extremely smart, there is also a small stand in reception where you can book trips, there are also plenty of private offices and touts who you can book trips through, just compare prices.

The Thai people in general are very friendly and helpful and we felt much safer in Thailand than in England.

All in all a great hotel, country and people.

We will return

by MR. SUTTER, Paul from United States, 5 Apr 08

We stayed 3/08 and was delightfully surprised by this hotel. "Dao" at the front desk is English speaking. She gave us great ideas on day trips by hiring a taxi for the day. You'll be glad you travel out. They leave a fruit bowl and two bottles of water each day. Good air conditioning, shower, TV, Net service, hard bed like all of Asia, clean spacious rooms. Good laundry service that is prompt. The restaurant has a BBQ special each night with salad that is a BARGAIN plus a live singer. They are two blocks from the Sunday market. Photo the art on each stair landing. We will return!
