Good Staff and Location, Bad Room
by GUSTAVO PASTOR from Spain, 5 Jun 07
The location of this hotel is very good, the staff are very friendly and kindly but the room is bland, no furniture, I didn't like the room but it was clean and comfortable.

Would stay again only for one night (hot shower & buffet breakfast)
by T from Australia, 2 Oct 07
Was a a one night stay before moving to Julie Guest house. Long flight from Australia to Bangkok, then changed for Chang Mai and straight to Royal Lana.
Picked this place as was mid range hotel, wanted comfort and a/c for first night sleep.
Very good location, on top of Night Markets. Central for CM. Everything you need also close by. Buffet Breakfast was included - good variety.
Was trouble with plumbing in bathroom though, water did leak from the bathroom sink all over the floor and down the bathroom drain. Rooms were not bad but were not anything more than basic, with our expectations of a comfy bed not fulfilled. Furniture look old for a new hotel.
Royal Lana does the job, but would rather something like Julie Guest house for a Chang Mai experience. Would have stayed longer if we enjoyed it more.
