Would recommend this place to anyone
by Sarah from London, 6 Jun 07
The owners there are the most welcoming and friendly people. They treat you as family. Lovely bungalows, lots of space, very clean and a good location on the river. Couldn't fault them.

Best of riverside resort!
by Cal Cousins, 14 Jan 08
I stayed here 28/29th of Dec 2007. Fantastic friendly service. The rooms, the river view walk and the area are so comfy one does not know they are in the second largest city in Thailand; a city that dwarfs New York City. The owners speak English, have the only true HS internet I have found in Thailand and best of all love their work. They even helped when my cars alarm was going crazy. The owners have wonderful personalities.

Scorpion Tailed Boat Village, Muang Very nice, clean and so cheap $$$ for what you get ... This is, so friendly place, I will never forget the kindness of the owner and his wife and all the personal, I never met so nice people in a resort like that. Always looking to you, make sure everything is good, they will recommended very good tours as trekking, or dinning. They know all the best places for best deals around. Please go on Ping river with Scorpions Tailed boat tours, so interesting to listen the owner telling you stories about Chiang Mai and the Ping river with beautiful pictures in same time. A place to go in Chiang Mai. Very good location too. I will go back for sure.

Don't miss it
by Arie Jongejan, 23 Sep 07
The personal feel and personal attention our family received during our 4 day stay at Scorpion Tailed Boat Village was above and beyond the call of duty and certainly set the bar for serving the customer. We were picked up at the bus station, advised on all our questions and concerns, served fresh mangos all the time, given internet access, arranged all tours and transportation, etc. Me and her husband immediately make you feel at home. They have developed a quiet, natural feel along the Ping River. They talked to us about their lives, history of Chiang Mai and always greeted us with smiles, fresh juice from fruit in their farm, local and tourist suggestions, etc. This was the best personal attention we have received in our international travels over the years. The bungalows and really clean and nice and the mattresses and pillows and surprisingly comfortable.

I wanna go back again!
by Judy Greenwald from (USA), 23 Sep 07
I have traveled all over the world. I currently live in Asia. I must say that this is the most welcoming place I have ever stayed. They have helped me with everything, including finding other places to stay in other towns. The family atmosphere is wonderful and the place is a comfortable, pleasant place to stay. I had interesting, meaningful conversation with the staff who cared about my well-being and about my learning about Thai people. You must come to visit. I highly, highly recommend it.
