Our stopover in chiang mai
by Pascal Defonseca from Brussels, Belgium, 28 Apr 07
Our second time over. Good hotel, great situation near the city center, good rooms, very quiet in a city that is becoming more and more buzzing and noisy. great place! We will be back next year.

So so, could be better!
by S. Fraser KHOU from New Zealand, 28 Feb 07
Staff are not so helpful and un-enthusiastic in helping. Room is too dark and deluxe room is very basic. Breakfast is too limited, low quality and unpresentable. The hotel location is very conveniently situated.

Garden in the city
by bob from belgium, 21 Feb 07
The only reason to choose for "Karinthip" is its convenient location and its garden with swimming pool. Breakfast/rooms/staff etc. basic and overpriced.
The nice settings in a city, which becomes more and more polluted, compensates for the hotel's mediocrity.

Stay away!
by Tim from Australia, 13 Feb 07
This "boutique" hotel/resort is appalling. I've stayed in Chiang Mai several times and had never seen this place but after reading a review that compared it to Tamarind Village I thought I'd give it a try.
The writer of that review was delusional or had an interest in the facility. The deluxe room we had booked was dirty, run-down and overpriced. After hearing our complaints and requesting to see a manager we were informed that the room was actually destined for renovation and we would be upgraded to a deluxe room. The breakfast was limited and the little on offer wasn't even regularly stocked even early on in the morning. The problems with this place are too numerous to list!

Lovely, quiet and conveniently located boutique hotel
by Anonymous User, 20 Mar 06
Karinthip was a nice quiet boutique hotel in a convenient location.
Positive
- location
- quiet
- friendly staff
Negative
- many taxi drivers did not know where it was however it was close enough to other landmarks in order to direct them
- breakfast wasn'`t great, this may be due to it being a smaller hotel
Would I recommend it ? Yes

Reasonable price
by Anonymous user, 14 Jan 06
Just like a little guest house and upgrading to be the boutique hotel. Room is too small and no view if you are inside. The pool is nice for laying down on the sun light. The breakfast is so standard, not much choices.
