Simple and decent hotel

by Felix Raj from Kuala Lumpur, 19 May 06

The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The room was fine. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes, flies (at the coffee house in the mornings) and other insects. Though the hotel supplies without charge, mosquito coils, I found them inadequate. Bests to bring your own insect/mosquito repellent. Our stay had breakfast thrown in, but unfortunately the menu remained unchanged for all 5 days and there was no variety. The hotel is close to the night market/bazaar (3 minutes walk) and it is relatively easy to get a taxi/tuk-tuk outside the hotel.

Fantastic Hotel

by Anonymous User from New Jersey, 21 May 06

If you want to stay at a boutique hotel that is designed in Lanna Thai style then look no further. My stay couldn't have been more pleasant. The rooms were tastefully decorated and clean while the service couldn't have been any better. The location was convenient as well and you are very close to the Night Bazaar and most other major attractions. I will stay here every future trip to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai Heaven

by Marilyn Georgeff from Paris, 13 Jun 06

Yaang Come Village is a little Jewel of a place hidden in hot and busy Chiang Mai. Set back from the road in tropical gardens, you feel you are not entering a hotel but an elegant welcoming family home in the best Thai style. Rooms are traditionally and stylishly decorated, the bathrooms huge, and most rooms overlook the central pool. Don't miss dining in their restaurant - some of the nicest Thai food we had. Staff are helpful and charming...We just didn't want to move out.

Best Service and Accommodations in Chiang Mai

by Anonymous User from Mountain View, CA, 11 Jul 06

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Thailand, Yaang Come Village was the best and most memorable. I will definitely recommend this place for any honeymooners or people who want excellent accommodations.

It is centrally located in Chiang Mai and is 1 block away from the famous night bazaar. We were also able to find great restaurants and spas within walking distance.

Service at this resort is amazing. You feel so warm and welcome from the start to the end of your trip. They know you by your first name and not by your room number. The front desk staff will bend over backwards to make sure that your stay is most enjoyable. They were able to make all the arrangements for Thai Cooking School and a Khantoke Dinner and Show.

Rooms and facilities were very lovely. You should expect to see a big room facing the pool or the garden, a big bathroom (including a urinal for the men), and all the amenities you need for a holiday. It is the kind of resort you can stay in and feel absolutely relaxed.

Better than many huge resorts..

by Teva Juventin from Tahiti, 7 Aug 06

We extend our stay from 3 to 5 nights, really love the staff and the size, style of this hotel. Not like a 200 bedrooms, 5 storey building. Delicious breakfast too. Our best hotel in Thailand this stay.

A peaceful haven in a lovely setting!

by Mary Hayes from Adelaide, South Australia, 8 Aug 06

My husband and I had a very relaxing stay at Yaang Come Village and would definitely stay there again. We don't like large characterless hotels, and this suited us perfectly. The architecture is dramatic, especially when lit up at night. The manager and staff were gracious and charming and added a nice personal touch. Our suite was spacious, quiet and comfortable and impeccably clean. The Village is quite new, so the garden, while attractively landscaped, will be even lovelier when it matures. The pool is a decent size for swimming.

There is a small library which operates on an honesty system which was a nice feature.

Nearby attractions: Just across the road is a very good tailors for anyone thinking of getting some tailoring done in Thailand, called Viengping Collection. We enjoyed being able to step out to explore the night markets in the evening.

Worth staying at

by Ms. Tracy from Melbourne, Australia, 19 Aug 06

A really good position 5 mins. from the night market yet quiet and secluded. Beautiful grounds, good breakfast, little flowers on pillows and towels, free Internet, free bowl of fruit, good sized pool and something almost unheard of in Thailand, tea and coffee making facilities. I will stay there again.

Fantastic boutique, traditional hotel in a central location.

by Margaret Cruice from Sydney, 29 Aug 06

The Yang Come Village is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in in Thailand. A small, boutique, traditional style of hotel, it offers a great location, a warm friendly ambience, great rooms and excellent service. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Chiang Mai.

Amazing hotel choice!

by Julia from Israel, 4 Sep 06

The hotel was amazing ... we are so pleased with our selection of staying at the Yaang come village! The hotel is a 4 minutes walk to the night bazaar, which was a great area to be in. The rooms were wonderfully decorated and the service and amenities are 5 star. Turn down service at night, and the make sure to spray your room out while you are out in the evening so u won't have mosquitoes. The also put mosquito coils burning outside your room every evening.

They have a bunch of movies at the front desk which you can borrow for free, which was a nice touch. There are also 2 computers in lobby with free Internet, very convenient, and a service we have not seen in many hotels! The hotel is wireless as well, with no charge for Internet. We didn't feel they were trying to sucker you out of extra money like most hotels do. The service was wonderful ... The hotel was just all around so great, i hope to come back very soon!
