Heaven on earth
by Harri, Heidi and Jyrki from Helsinki, Finland, 29 Apr 08
We stayed at Villa V-5, excellent value. Even we were the only customers, restaurant staff prepared dinners when we wanted and gave bucket of ice to room so we had cold drinks when they closed the place. Midnight swimming at pool under starry sky, no electric light anywhere- just great. Chia-Lin, the owner, is most helpful guy and provides all information you might need. His lovely wife and family are great persons too. Do kayaking, trekking, swimming etc... list is endless or nothing at all! Just enjoy this heaven on earth! They do also have lot of animals, sometimes you feel like your in Noahs Ark!

Wonderful Place
by Dianne from Salt Lake City, Utah, 4 Apr 07
Huai Khum was one of our most favorite places that we stayed while visiting Thailand. The food was excellent, the accommodations were excellent, and we enjoyed the scenery. The hill tribe that lived next to the resort was very friendly and the children were darling. We loved learning more about them and interacting with them. The singing from the girls from the village was so nice during our dinner. They are all such beautiful people.
We loved our stay there at Huai Khum and plan to return and stay longer.
Just don't go during the burning season. It is quite smoky. I don't think they are thinking about what they are breathing!!

Can't wait to go back soon!!!!
by Hannah Clarke from Melbourne, Aus, 10 Feb 07
I Have just returned home from a 6 week trip around Thailand and my short 3 night stay at this amazing resort was by far my favorite. The owner Chia-Lin and staff were extremely hospitable and friendly and did everything possible to make our stay memorable and stress free.
The location although remote was breath taking, the sort of thing scenery you see on postcards. Our little bungalow room was spotlessly clean with all the comforts of home with a impressive view of the river below.
The food in the restaurant was always fresh, delicious and served with a smile. Wish we could of stayed much much longer than we did. I would without a hesitation recommend this hotel to anyone young and adventuress or older people looking for a quiet environment to relax in.

Wonderful place...
by Matt from Jersey, UK, 21 Feb 06
We had a really wonderful 4 days at the resort. The owner has done a fantastic job building a resort in a great location. Lovely position on a river bend and hill side with lots of surrounding countryside with orange groves and a small local village.
The food was excellent and importantly good valve. The accommodation is excellent, very clean with some great views of the river below. The owner and his family and staff are very friendly with great attitudes. The photos of the resort don’t really do it justice; I wasn’t expecting the level of accommodation for the price. I look forward to going back.
