My husband and I spent three nights here on our honeymoon. The resort was full of honeymooners and they made a special effort to mark the occasion. The staff had a lot of good advice on what to do on the island. The beach is beautiful, great pool. The restaurant was just okay, but there are so many restaurants around that it doesn't matter.
This is not the nicest hotel in the world, but it gets the job done. We dined at the Amari Emerald and although we didn't see the rooms it was obvious that hotel is a notch higher. If you are looking for top of the line, look at the Amari; the Tropicana is a good middle of the road hotel.
