Dont Go You'll Hate It.
by G. from London.England. As our American cousins say., 22 Sep 05
If you just wanna put your feet up, read, chillout, cuddle up, sun worship or swim in the best water in the world(the Gulf of Siam) its for you. Dont expect a rave or even regular lively nights cos you wont get them, and you should go elsewhere.
Highlights- Snorkled with a jellyfish, and a stingray. Met some really nice folks. Got a mega tattoo at the beautiful Thai lady's shop down the road(6 hours in the chair, thats gotta sting). Oh, and I honestly think the food is the best in the world, if you like Thai and seafood that is.

Romantic, delicious, perfect ...
by Kristin from all over...US, UK..., 12 Jan 07
We stayed here for a week, and it was a wonderful place. They have excellent iced coffee and fruit plates, amazing variety of delicious seafood cooked anyway you like, cheap and yummy French fries (silly, i know, but they were good!) ...
Our bungalow was right next to the beach, and you could hear the waves at night. And being as it is right on the beach, it isn't very crowded. The other guests were all nice and normal ... good place if you don't want to be serenaded by drum circles and didgeridoos and raucous drunks. The little town behind the resort has convenience stores and little shops, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, all within walking distance.
Really, it was an outstanding place. Definitely the best location in that particular area ... if you want to hang out with young hippy travelers, you can go to the Rasta bars (which all have yummy foods and cheap drinks), or if you want to be alone and romantic, there are other beach-front restaurants (although Baan Panburi is a beach-front, open air restaurant as well!).
All in all, two thumbs up. I would stay there again if I got the chance. I recommend it heartily to couples who don't want to be surrounded by backpackers.
