Would certainly visit again. (For the third time)

Brilliant value for money. Staff very friendly but don't rely on them for a wake up call.
A convenient distance from the main drag but far more private than most of the other resort/hotels.
Excellent restaurant location overlooking the beach. This was the second time I have stayed there and was given an older Chalet (A6) one row back from the beach but still with a good view.
It would be heaven if there was a pool however I was told it was planned for next year.

Quiet resort near the end of Lamai Beach

Ask for a site diagram as some of the newer chalets are a 5 minute hike down the hill to the beach/restaurant. Our second trip back to Bill Resort and I'd like to think there will be a third next year.

Simply awesome!

This is one of the best hotel in Lamai beach. The only thing that can be improved is the breakfast schedule which is from 7am~10am. I personally think it will be better to start at 6.30am or even earlier. The reason is because on my last day I need to check out at 7am. Therefore I don't have the opportunity for any breakfast session.
Other than that Bill Resort is one of the best around with reasonable rate. Just can't wait to get back again!!!

A taste of heaven

Bill Resort is situated on a beautiful beach with a great swimming pool and a restaurant that overlooks the ocean. The rooms are cleaned daily and I believe they are the best value for your money. The food is delicious. We checked out other restaurants in the area, including in the towns of Lamai and Chaweng, but did not find any that surpassed the food at Bill Resort. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
After leaving Koh Samui, my wife and I traveled around Thailand and Vietnam for the next month. After that, we knew that Bill Resort was by far the best place we had been to and returned for another two weeks. It really is a piece of paradise. The people who work at Bill Resort are truly exceptional and turned what would have been a good holiday into a fantastic holiday! Can’t wait to go back!!

Nice for beach

Nice swimming pool, very nice beach in front of the hotel. We were in the cheapest room, maybe better pay a bit more. It was very old, smelly, lizards on it, noisy air con, old bed,...

We would certainly return

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and the beach and pool were perfect. Although a reasonable walk away from town, the walk along the beach is lovely, especially in the evening while looking for somewhere different to eat.
Because everything was so wonderful, the one problem we did have seemed extraordinary. We hired a motorbike from the hotel for one day, and paid for it before we rode away. Upon checking out, we, unfortunately, had to pay this fee again as the person we paid first time must have forgotten to note that we had paid....
I am sure that this is an irregularity though :)

A very expensive resort for what it is.

It's right into the beach which is the only plus point. Its very expensive for what it is. The main door paint is peeling off, the furniture is old, the air con did not work for 2 nights so although we are booked for 4 nights we ask to be transferred to another hotel. The other resort where we moved to is quite new, clean and half the price of what we paid for Bill Resort. The whole place needs renovating.

OK Value, but preview what you will be paying for

Location: Very nice. Just a short walk to town and located on a very nice and quiet section of Lamai Beach.
Staff: Generally, the staff was satisfactory, however I was a little disappointed when I asked for a ride to the top of the road to catch the transfer bus from the hotel to the ferry to Koh Tao. The guy wanted to charge me the equivalent of 5.00 for what amounted to a 30 second ride. Not a big deal, really, but his attitude was more aggravating than the actual money he was asking for. He was an "ass".
Rooms: Make sure you view the room before you take it. Some are very "old" and the views are not as advertised. My balcony had a view of three TV dishes and a pond of green, still, mosquito infested water, while others for the same price were much better.
Food: Excellent. All dishes were served on time and were tasty.
Pool: Clean and refreshing. Very Nice...

The best place on the best beach!

Bill is a great place! It is well kept and the staff were always willing to help. The location is in a quiet place with a wonderful beach and within easy walking distance of the center and the famous rocks. It has a great restaurant and a jacuzzi. Best of the hotels we saw!
