Thailand Holiday
by Brenda A Scott from United Kingdom, 22 Apr 08
Cabana Grand View was at the top of a hill and we found there wasn't always a buggy to take us up or down.
The breakfast selection was poor - the same every morning and there was a distinct lack of staff and communication with the staff that were there. The internet stated there were midday and evening meals available but this was not so as there was not the staff to provide this service. The view from our room was the saving grace. Absolutely magnificent and we still had a wonderful holiday in Thailand.

We will never recomend this hotel.

Safe didn't work on arrival. Repaired after being addressed 3 times. Safe came off the wall when I pulled it with one finger, same problem in neighbors room and my kids room.
Swimmingly out of order for half the stay. SPA like an abandoned building site which no one was building on. Air-con poor and was turned off by the staff when not in the room so we had to restart it every time we came back to the room.
My wifes room 309 in front of the elevator had a big crack about 25 inches so people could look in! Quiet hotel, haven't seen anyone in the restaurant, the lights haven't even been on!
Everything else on Samui fully booked or we would have left. Neighbors from Norway managed to get a new hotel, they are leaving tomorrow.

Grand location
by Guillermo from San Francisco, CA, 30 Nov 06
Lovely location, above a small hill right off the main street with the beach just on the other side of street. You do have to take shuttle (15min) to their sister hotel's beach front location (Chaweng Cabana Resort) to sunbath and swim. Great pool and restaurant. Staff very helpful. Very nice spa too.

Breathtaking views!
by Natalia N from UK, 23 Oct 06
We spent 2 nights in Corner Suit and absolutely love it! The view is spectacular! Room is spacious and very well decorated. Great to have a glass of wine at the balcony with amazing views to sea and mountains.
Hotel service was also good. Shuttle bus to the beach goes every hour, no problem. Pool not large for such big hotel, but we don’t care, because of beach.
Buffet breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended, but the Corner suit only, Superior rooms are ordinary, have no direct sea view.

Great Room
by Mary from Ireland, 17 Oct 06
As we were on Honeymoon we had the corner suite on the sixth floor which was looking out at the pool and that was great. Found the location a bit inconvenient as it involved taking a taxi to town in the evening which we had to pay for (free taxi during day on the hour was great). Staff friendly, room very comfortable but hotel in general very quiet. OK for a one-off trip.

Great Room...Great Staff...Great Views
by Boroon Mahanta from Pune, India, 11 Dec 05
The two nights we spent in Koh Samui were only possible because of the Cabana Grand View Corner Suite. The weather was a disaster and the room was the saving grace.
We were on our honeymoon and made good use of the king size bed and the old style wooden bath tub. If it wasn't for the weather, we would have extended our stay for a few more days. The balcony offers panoramic views of the sea and the hills. If only the weather was better.
The staff are so polite and helpful, it made our stay that much more special. I would recommend this for any honeymooners and other travellers who want to luxuriate in modern comforts. Only minus is the construction work happening on the new building, and the fact that the Spa is still not ready. But that's just an after thought.
