Retreat in Paradise

Located on the hill from the airport to Chaweng, in a very quiet surrounding, perfect for relaxing holidays... we stayed in Jacuzzi Villas, which were quit big (much bigger than the same priced on the beach.
Not on the beach.. which might also be an advantage, as villas are widely spread, with lots of green, not busy and small as the resorts on the beach.
To move around, get a car or motorcycle, 5 mins. downtown... well traffic is a bit tricky.
If you like it relaxing and not stressy as downtown, stay here and either take a taxi (2€) or your own vehicle.

So relaxing...

We had the upper half of the bungalow with the jacuzzi in the balcony. Jacuzzi very relaxing! Room was lovely with an amazing view out to sea through floor to ceiling windows.
The resort is very quiet, on the first evening the bar was shut at 10pm. Only real draw back is location, it is too far to walk into the main centre of Chaweng although the hotel will drive you down there during the day for a small charge.
On the plus side there are plenty of shared taxis that run all night for getting back to the villa. We stayed here for the first 3 nights and then moved down into the centre of Chaweng for the rest of the week, definitely great for a relaxing break.

Worth

Nice jacuzzi size and good for couple, but hot water flew a bit slow. Mosquito coil should be ready provided before check in. Nice restaurant view! Only 30 Baht can bring you to the central of Chaweng in 5 mins.

I surelly recommend it!

Nice hotel, although the location is a bit far from the beach, it has a beautiful panoramic view of the bay, especially during the sunrise. The food is quite worth trying. Breakfast is OK. The employees of the hotel are friendly and honest.

Nice and peaceful

The hotel is located outside Chaweng, which gives you the opportunity to choose if you wanna stay in a peaceful environment at the hotel or if you wanna feel the pulls downtown Chaweng. Very helpful and friendly staff that really make your stay comfortable. This hotel is a good choice for family with children who like to play in the water, pool area is very nice.

Next time we try another hotel

A bit far away from Chaweng Beach restaurants and shops (about 2 kilometers). If you rent a motorbike then it´s okay. Taxi from the hotel to the beach around 150-200 THB.
We stayed in Villa room and the room was very nice and clean. Soundproof however was poor and nearby construction area disturbed in the mornings. Nights were really quiet.
Pool area was very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and always ready to help. Very beautiful scenery (Chaweng Bay) from the pool and restaurant.
