Kotao Resort Koh Samui Reviews & Ratings

The beach is one of the most beautiful on the island. Not to far from the busy pier and the crowded Sairee beach, but quiet and relaxing. The nice reef is easy to reach in swimming distance. We had a deluxe room, which was a little bit small with one bigger double bed (but not at all king size) and one single bed. The beds were comfortable, the room featured all we needed, TV, fridge, AC. There was only little space to leave your belongings and no safe box. The bathroom was very small and basic. After using the shower, the bathroom is flooded. There is only a curtain between shower and toilet and the outflow is behind the toilet. But everything was absolutely clean, and this was most important for us. The cheaper rooms looked much more basic, so we would recommend deluxe room. There is a brand new 5-star zone on top of the hill behind the "old" part of the hotel. But this seems to be very pricey.

The pool is small but nice and clean, and it was never crowded.

Breakfast was okay, but everyday the same and not to much choice.

Overall we would stay here again for some days in that beautiful surrounding.

A very so so hotel, not very helpful staff with unsmiling faces. The first room we found there were some "white ants" eating the bed's wood, very terrible. We requested to changed the room, fortunately there still had one room left, because hot seasons, the rooms were very tight. the buffet b'fast- very basic. the beach is very beautiful and got a lot of coral and fishes out there, small pool.

Overall very nice environment, small gardens around the resort, very convenient to go outside to eat and drink either by walking or motorbike, of course, he he...
