Disappointing

by Nicole Kwan, 26 Dec 05

I got the most expensive room - but it is so terrible and disappointing. The room was dark with inadequate lighting. There was bad stench in the room and poor maintenance. The so-called jacuzzi for 2 person is only big enough for 1 person - and the water is brown in colour!!! The so-called reception is a HUT and the land is muddy on rainy days!

I'm so so so disappointed with the hotel for the money I paid - especially when this is my honeymoon! And the Hotel did not even bother to give complimentary fruits and flowers for honeymooners! The only acceptable thing is they have rather good seafood pizza.

Will not return, will try other better hotels

by LIN KOK LEONG from Singapore, 16 Oct 06

Booked this hotel for my honeymoon but ended up having to check-in at a hut! Like what the earlier review said was true. Check-in at a hut!

After some talk, I was told my room was not ready. It was a room Type A, and was asked to sit at a small air-con room overlooking the pool for nearly 1-2 hours. Was really pissed because of this.

After finally getting into the room, the king size bed was OK, the room is really dark, not enough lighting and my wife didn't like the pool bath tub which she said was dirty with stains. I personally like the idea of a walk-down pool bath tub concept, but agree that it is old.

The room is not as good as Montien House. In terms of location, it is very very convenient, as near as just a 5 min walk to Mango Discotheque.

If you don't mind the hut check-in, small pool, small breakfast area, old facilities in the room, try this, else go to Montien House.

Good place to stay some days at chaweng beach

by Vincenz Frank Helmerich from Germany, 19 Aug 07

Everything o.k. and to recommend. Only problem is the breakfast. It is poor quality and the service at breakfast time was incompetent. Room was big enough with two good beds.Bath room was poor and partially in bad condition, but everything worked.

Better than expected

by Dana from nsw, Australia, 9 Nov 07

For the price it seemed to be one of the best deals in this location. Rooms with split level and polished floors nicer and more spacious than expected. Cleaning a bit hit and miss. Breakfast OK, same every day. Some bungalows for same price better than others, We were the first bungalow (downstairs) coming from street..would have been nicer closer to beach, you never felt like sitting on the Verandah as it was next to the parking area. The bungalows with connecting doors had better decor, wardrobes and a separate toilet. The reception staff were good and acted immediately with requests and problems.Very quiet considering location. Pool right on beach but not a great one, lots of beach chairs and umbrellas.

Looking forward to go back!

by Peter from The Netherlands, 19 Mar 06

Wonderful place. Great look at the sea marvelous view. Gay friendly. The only thing that should be improved as in the whole of Thailand is that there should be special areas designated for the waterjet. They buzz of and on just as on any beach.

Extra points for the kitchen. But watch out if your are full of compliments the manager will start to feed you the meal he ordered for himself....

Great place.

Super choice!

by Katie from Australia, 12 Dec 06

It was fantastic value for money, the staff were excellent, rooms super tidy and it's location perfect for our stay! The rooms were a short walk from the beach, the resort had a gorgeous pool for those that needed a rest from the sand and there you can have massages (ahhh, wonderful massages) on sight - we had a ball :)
