It's a must to go back!!!

by RT from Singapore, 6 Apr 08

Stayed in Nora Beach Resort during early April 2008. Booked the Ocean Pool Villa and it's really very beautiful. Nice beach.... Staff is helpful too... Try the spa massage, its good.

If you want to go to Chaweng for shopping, you can take the free shuttle or if you are going by local taxi it will cost you 200 Bath for sure.

Paradise!!

by Kristen Berge from Indianapolis, Indiana, 9 Jun 05

The Nora Resort and Spa is paradise!! The villas are spectacular! My favorite part was showering outside underneath a banana tree.

The service was outstanding! The beach is beautiful and it was an amazing oasis from the busy main streets!

Wolfgangs Stay at Nora Beach

by Wolfgang Rappl from Germany, 6 Nov 05

I have been in Nora Beach Resort in October 2005 in a Garden Villa and I was impressed with the rooms and the the standard of the hotel. Hotel staff is excellent and does go the extra mile to please customers and make them feel well.

Facilities are well maintained and very good equipped. Little problems with breakfast on rainy days since there are not enough seats under the roof of the covered restaurant part but the hotel staff is doing the utmost to deal with this situation.

Hotel SPA is quite expensive but after experiencing it once you will feel the difference of treatment in between the massage places in town and the excellent personalized treatment in the SPA where you do not get the feeling of being a part of a crowd.

Housekeeping could do with some improvement and is missing a bit the attention to details when cleaning up the villas and the laundry service was a bit of a disappointment. I sent 3 times some items to the laundry and had 2 times an item returned damaged to me - so careful here!!!!!!

In general, I think it is a very well run hotel with great service and it is great value for money.

Wonderful Place

by Anonymous user, 17 Mar 06

Wow, first time in Thailand and to the island and I loved every minute. From the moment we were dropped off into the fantastic lobby area and ushered to a little seat with a free drink and refreshing face towel, to the friendliness of the staff who gave us an upgrade to one of the garden villas.

The villa itself was spotless and had a lovely bathroom and outside shower. As for the resort it was wonderful, great pool, great beach and the food was out of this world.

I will without a shadow of a doubt be re-visiting in the future. Looked at a few of the other choices we had in mind on the way into town and while running down Chaweng beach and I believe Nora was from what I could see right up there as the best on show.

Paradise!

by L. Rogers - age 30 from London, United Kingom, 17 Apr 06

We ended up here by accident - we were upgraded here from Chaba Cabana where we had stayed for a lovely 2 nights but had they had overbooked so they offered us an upgrade. We were amazed at the luxury of the Nora resort. We were given an ocean villa right at the front overlooking a waterfall/stream and the pool/sea which just made our holiday!

It was very romantic and luxurious - beautiful 4 poster bed, TV and DVD player, sunken bath and 2 showers, one inside and one outside, tea/coffee facilities and free safe! Other nice touches included staff turning up at about 7 every night to open up the bed and sprinkle flowers over it!

We will definitely book here again in the future. We got all our clothes laundered before leaving for 999 BHT (approx ?16) and they came back pressed and perfect! Breakfast was lovely - very wide range from Thai to continental to British eggs and bacon etc.

Although about 5-10 mins in a cab from the centre, cabs were only about 150 BHT for 2 in a cab and they are easy to flag down. This resort is a must for any couple looking for a bit of luxury but also wanting the madness and liveliness of a resort like Chaweng - this holiday was just a dream for me and my boyfriend.

Nora Resort - the best!

by Morten from Denmark, 2 Aug 07

First time in Thailand and what a trip - Nora was the best. We were upgraded from a ocean villa to a ocean pool villa for two weeks. Beautiful villa with large living room, bed room, bathroom and with own swimming pool and view to the sea. Also outside shore.

The staff were all friendly, and especially with helping with our 2 year old daughter during dinner. They also gave her fruit and drinks during the day near the swimming pool. Very good restaurant and very close to the sea (20m). Nice relaxing musicians most nights. Swimming pool area is very nice.

Only minus is the beach. You can swim, but the are a lot of stones. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better resort.

I would definitely recommend it.
