Nova Samui Resort Koh Samui

Although not a new hotel still in excellent shape. Its ex Mecure history stands it in good stead. Located at the north end of the lake in a quiet location

Reception staff very friendly and informative. I was staying 4 nights and received an upgraded room without asking!

Bedroom very clean and bathroom equipped with both separate bath and shower.

Large swimming pool and good service from poolside bar.

Buffet breakfast also very good.

Recommend visiting the temple at the top of the mountain behind the hotel. From the top of the temple you will have a fabulous view of the North East end of the island and also a fantastic view of the airport. (The kids will love it. Guaranteed.). To access turn right out of the hotel then take the road up to the ""Q"" club 200 m further along on the right. However you'll need to get up by car or bike as it's not within walking distance.

Hotel has courtesy songthiew into the centre of Chaweng every hour. Just tell the driver when you want to return.

We stayed here when it was known as ""Mercure"" in 1999 for the Millennium. We came back in April for 10 days - it is still an excellent hotel to stay in. Rooms are extremely clean and the pool is a good size with jacuzzi and massages are available round the pool area.

The staff are very helpful and have a great sense of humor. We will definitely be coming back here!!!!!

Tuc tuc available to take you into Chaweng town too which is great (and they also pick you up to return you back to the hotel). If you are fortunate enough to buy DVD's in the town then the staff will put them on for you to view in the comfort of your own room - brilliant!!!
