Satisfied Swede
by Tommy Asplund from North Sweden, 6 Feb 06
Excellent place in a fine location. We enjoyed our visit and love to come back some time. The Sea-view Bungalows was really worth the money. What could have been better? No Beach, but only a few steps away, so, so what???

Fantastic place, Fantastic people
by KAM from Manchester, England, 30 Nov 05
We stayed at Papillon resort from the 26th October to the 13 November 2005. I have been to Samui 3 times and can honestly say this resort is the best that I have stayed at.
The two previous visits were at the Amari which is rated as 5 star and Kulaypan which is next door and follows similar rating and in my opinion overrated and overpriced.
For me papillon has beautiful accommodation and also has that something special the staff from the security guy to the manager Jill. All your needs are catered for and if I visit Samui again i will be staying at Papillon Resort.

To Ped and Nok, the best Thai waitresses ever!
by Juliet Mayo from London, 7 Jul 07
A wonderfully welcoming place with the most attentive staff and beautiful views. A laid back atmosphere and delicious wide ranging choice of food. Perched at the end of Cheweng beach, the Papillon is a hidden gem, tucked away from the mayhem of the rest of the beach, whose delights are a short stroll along the beach to. Homely clean rooms, with rustic, local charm.
Wonderful...

Do not mind to go back
by LEE yee-man from Hong Kong, 1 Aug 07
During our stay (July 2007), the pool was under construction, we do not know until we arrived there, but the manager there offered us a 50% discount of the room rate and promoted to a mini suite instead of our booked standard room.
Quite reasonable, but disappointment to my son who aged 10. We only could swim in the sea instead. Overall the room and staff were both quite good the price. Food quite yummy, there are 8 choices of b'fast, quite nice too. But the last night we stayed at all the electricity has been cut off for hours, nobody knows what happened.
A small but warm resort. we will not mind to go back and stay there next time.

A WONDERFULL PLACE
by Robert Dicker from Moray, United Kingdom, 30 Oct 07
We enjoyed our stay, from collection at the airport to leaving we could not find fault. The food was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The only problem was the weather (it rained for 5 days non stop) was beyond the control of the Pappillon.

Won't recommend others unless shower and breakfast will be better
by Anonymous User, 25 Sep 07
The breakfast good but too small and not enough, the shower in the room not good at all, the water coming out the shower smelly, and there is no wiper to wipe the floor
after taking a shower, and the floor remains wet and it's not comfortable.
Except those thing I really enjoy staying in the hotel.
