There are better places to stay
by MB from Toronto, Canada, 27 Jul 06
In June, based on some on-line reviews, my wife and I booked in for 6 nights and left after 15 minutes. The property is totally isolated on a far from impressive and scruffy beach. The rooms were large, but old furniture and fittings plus the lack of air conditioning in bathroom, dressing area and closets (the result being the overpowering odour of mildew) were far from impressive. The property is in a general run down condition - there are hundreds of better options in magnificent Thailand.

The perfect hideaway on Samui
by Arnold A. Batten from The Netherlands, 1 May 07
Before booking we actually inspected the hotel so not much of a surprise for us. This is the perfect hideaway, yes you need a rental car unless you just want to hang around at the resort. Anyone who loves peace and quiet and a wonderful tropical garden set on the beach should go here.
In the evening you can sit on the porch and enjoy the sounds of the sea and nature, never any noise from parties, cars or speedboats also mosquitoes are not to be found.
The Beach is swimmable (hard to find on Samui other than Chaweng beach) and has a lot of wildlife such as crabs and fish. The swimming pool is excellent, but lacks a children play pool (which is actually a benefit because you won't find screaming kids).
The Bungalows are big with a huge jacuzzi and somewhat older but well maintained.
During our stay there were some problems with an air-conditioner but that was quickly and smoothly taken care of by the staff. The restaurant at the resort is definitely up to the standard and food is nice although staying away from a steak is advised.
Overall a very nice place for a relaxed time.
