Fair House Beach Resort Koh Samui Reviews & Ratings

I booked the Grand Deluxe (Main Building). It was great. The room is exactly like on the picture! The bedroom is also big enough and equipped with a bathtub and a shower. We had a wonderful pool view from one of our balconies and sea view from the other balcony. We loved it and enjoyed our time in this hotel and in Samui. The breakfast buffet was also very good. I have nothing to complain about. The private beach was wonderful. No better place to be!!! I'll come again!

This hotel prides itself as a four star hotel, but it would be better rated as one star (and that's being generous)! The rooms were only moderately clean, smelled musty and moldy and the towels provided were torn and stained.

We were in The Fair house resort in March 2005 . The beach was Excellent. The resort is big and comfortable, fantastic staff, excellent food. The location couldn't be better. The rooms are really comfortable.

The only thing we dislike is that if you wake up late, you can't find a sun-bed or umbrella on the beach, but it was always plenty of sun beds around the swimming pools (the resort has 2 big swimming pools). There are also no sport facilities.

The best place for a relax holiday.

Garden and beach was excellent. The room and bathroom we had was very big (garden wing), with big stones and flowers on the bathroom. The bathroom and room had also big cockroach. We found 5 in big size in 4 nights. Food was OK, both not good. Never more this hotel for me.

The location was wonderful, peaceful and beautiful. The beach is definitely the best at Chaweng Noi, more private. The hotel area is nice, the garden is beautiful with orchids and trees etc. Pools are also pretty. The room in the garden wing was OK, nice stone floors, but we felt it lacked furniture, room was big, and there was lots of empty space.

Bathroom was nice, housekeeping was OK too - laundry service was efficient and cheap. Breakfast was good, maybe I missed having a little more variation, but we loved the fresh fruit and they even had darker bread! The New Year's Eve Gala Dinner was way overpriced, and didn't even include water - with that money you can eat for two WEEKS in Thailand...

We were both happy to leave. The staff was very unhelpful when we really needed them (serious accident), the room smelled, and the evening entertainment.... ai.... During the day while we were enjoying ourselves on the beach, there were these loud jet skis.

The location though was pretty convenient, the Chaweng beach is lovely. So, if you want to go to Chaweng on Koh Samui just choose a nicer hotel which deserves four stars. This hotel would be better rated as one star.

We booked a Superior Bungalow. The walk to the beach was convenient and overall the resort looked okay from the outside. However, once we got into our room we were very disappointed. The room was very old and the bathroom tiles were chipped and large chunks of grout were coming off the tiles and falling in the bathtub!! The mirror had a filmy stain on it and the shower drain was not functional as there was constant flooding on the floor after each and every shower. There was also a consistent foul smell to the room. We had requested a king bed and we were greeted with two twins. The staff resolved this by simply pushing the twin beds together-not exactly ideal.

In our opinion this place needed a serious makeover and fast. We could see that the grand deluxe beach front bungalows were much nicer than the superior bungalows and if we ever had to go back we would likely book one of those. I guess you get what you pay for.
