Alis Hotel & Spa Krabi Reviews & Ratings

I had been their during the raining season which the rate is very good. The hotel in small but unique as they make it it morocco style, i think only 1 hotel in Krabi. As it is only 30 room something so quiet privacy and staff can take care very closely. Only 5 minute walk to Aonang which is good as not too busy and messy. In general very value for money.

Really love this place. Went here last year and came back again in April 2007. I love the room. Very morrocon. Spend the whole day in the pool by the terrace. Had a great tan here. :-D

Don't particularly liked the breakfast though. A so-so affair. Location is just nice. Close to Ao Nang beach yet far enough from all the noise.

This is our second visit to Alis Hotel as we had a really good experience earlier this June. However, we are quite disappointed this time. Perhaps our expectation have gone up a notch and their service has dropped considerably which resulted in the huge disappointment. At first, we were told that we were entitled to a free massage for 2 persons promotion but when we turned up there; they said the promotion is over. We didn't kick up a fuss coz we thought it is no big deal but if we had confirmation of the booking and free massage, I thought they could have done better to let us know nicely. We had to keep asking and even had to write back to AtSiam for re-confirmation. Then when it came to check out time, we asked for a late check out on the very first day and had to asked again and again at least 4-5 times without getting a firm confirmation from them; each time the staff said he/she will check and revert but no news and we had to keep bugging them. We also noted that most afternoons quite a few rooms are empty and it would not have been difficult at all to accede to our request (our flight was at 9pm and we had asked for checkout at 3pm). In the end, after making us feel bad about asking so many times, the 'nicest' lady there very reluctantly agreed to a 2pm checkout.

Sigh.

We love Krabi and intend to continue our twice yearly visits but doubt we will stay at Alis again. There are quite a few similar hotels that have been built there recently with cheaper room rates and better facilities. Check those out!
