Andaman Beach Resort Phi Phi Krabi

Avoid this place if possible - you could end up very disappointed

“We stayed at this "resort" in August 2007 and paid AU$ 62 per night for a Deluxe Air-Conditioned Bungalow and got a dilapidated shack at the very back of the complex. There was a massive crack in the wall, the shower sprayed water all over the bathroom, the water was barely lukewarm, and we shared the room with several large cockroaches. No towels were provided for the pool, the wasn't even a jug or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a safe in the room but it didn't work so we had to resort to using a locker in the reception area to store valuables. The advertised mini-bar ( which we were aware would only be non-alcoholic beverages ) only had bottled water and the fridge/freezer was so frosted up we couldn't fit in any of our purchased drinks to cool down quickly.

There was demolition/reconstruction work going on 15 metres from our room for most of the daytime.The "cable tv" reception was so poor we gave up on trying to block out the noise with the tv.

Breakfast was very basic and the cheese was served on the plates still in the plastic. The only positive was that the airconditioning actually worked effectively.

Don't be deceived by the photos on the website ! Talking to other tourists that stayed in the same area of Phi Phi, it sounds like we chose to stay at "the pits" and paid way too much for what we actually got.”
