Me and my wife have stayed at city hotel every time we visit my wifes family who live in krabi town. We have never had any problems there at all all the staff are friendly always smiling and willing to help you when u ask 4 the help. Perfect location all the taxi bike staff outside are funny friendly people they stand right outside seven eleven store which is next door to hotel also very convenient the hotel is very clean and tidy. KFC just round the corner food market opposite. Its quiet at night never any noise and close to big river if any1 likes fishing. And easy to get to other places eg koh phi phi, lanta, aonang just ask reception they will help . I love it there i will recommend it to any 1. And best thing its cheap great value 4 money just 1 thing i not happy about no espn channel 4 premiership football in your room ha ha ha lol 555 EVERY1 STAY THERE ITS GREAT PLACE

Nice place nice price

City Hotel Krabi is in the center of Krabi town and easy to catch a taxi to get to any places you like. The most important thing is the staff are helpful and always be there to help. Not even to look at them for asking help.
My kids are really love this place and oh one thing the price is reasonable and Krabi night market is right opposite the hotel where we can find local food and any kinds of food as you expect!!!

Definietly go back there.

I love this place coz they are in the center of Krabi town. I was stay there for two months I think I can't find other places better than this. It's cheap and the people there were very nice to me. They had a good service.

Reasonably good accomodation

I'm glad they had shower curtains. It's rare to find a place with shower curtains in Thailand. Laundry service was good. The travel agent downstairs was helpful and informative. I just wonder how birds got into the building.
There were some flying up and down our hallway one morning. We stayed for only 3 nights but it was a good. You can hear people outside your door because the hallway is tiled and not carpeted. The walls are thin, I could hear the TV next door to my room.

One Nights Stay

We stayed at the City Hotel, Krabi for one night as a stop over on our way to Koh Samui.
The Hotel was clean and tidy however the area is pretty poorly served, we only managed to find one bar which was opposite. I think if we had been staying more nights we would have shopped around to find a hotel in a more popular area.

Some hotels nearby will be a better choice. No City Hotel for me.

Only good thing is the location, as it is right in front of original night market. And next to a 7 eleven store. You can only expect a bed to sleep on and hot shower, no breakfast provided or the basic amenities.
My recommendation is to ASK for the new wing (better rooms). Difficult if you have kids tacking alone, there is no hot water flask.
The front desk staffs are not very helpful in my opinion, don't expect positive answers from them. After 2 attempts, you can be very sure what the answers will be.
You can give Krabi town a miss, nothing much there.

It is very valuable

The location is really convenient because it is just in front of night market (the place of Thai food street vendor in the noon and evening). It is very close with supermarket (open 24 hours), banks, stationary store, pharmacy, travel agents, river, souvenir shops (with the cheap price).
Although the panorama is not really nice but it is very comfortable for the me to prepare some foods and other stuffs before go to islands or other places in Krabi. I stayed in old building. The room is old fashioned and not so clean. But it is valuable (because the room rate is cheap). The staffs are very helpful and friendly.
