BETTER THAN FIVE STAR SERVICE !
by Terry R CURREY from West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, 4 May 08
Service you would not get at a five star hotel. Breakfast was better than some three star beach hotels we have stayed at. The ambience of the hotel was excellent and we shall certainly stay again at this little gem.

Great for family, good value for money
by TANIA from Singapore, 7 Aug 06
This place is accessible by bus, from bus station and from Ao nang. It has a reasonable size swimming pool with kids pool. The room and bathroom are clean, considering the outward appearance of the hotel. The hotel staffs are all friendly, smiley and helpful. The food in the restaurant are reasonably priced and some dishes are quite nice. Try the stir-fried noodles with shrimp, pineapple rice. The spicy dishes are very spicy. Don't try if you can't take chili hot. A plus point is, there's a park nearby - THARA PARK, 5 mins drive, with a large playground and scenic view, but can be quite hot if you go on a sunny day.
What I dislike:
As I said, the place is a little old and small. To go for a swim, you have to walk out of the hotel, cross the road to the pool but the distance is very short. No pool towels are provided. There is no coffee and tea, no kettle provided in the room. Our bedroom view is a school, and if you are not staying during the weekend, you will have numerous kids peering at you whenever you go to the balcony, which I don't suppose you will, as it is also rather dusty. Otherwise, try to get a room not on that side of the hotel. There is also no safe provided in the room. Though the floor tile in the room looked shiny clean, it can be slippery when wet. To go the town to buy stuff you will need transport. We manage to rent a bike walking about 1km down the main road. No taxis in sight, so going to airport, you will have to get the hotel to ferry you at a cost of 300 Baht, less than 1/2 hour trip.

Clean and shifting service level
by Malena Nylin from Stockholm, Sweden, 23 Mar 08
Situated a bit from down town, but with a free taxi-service! I was so surprised and pleased when i asked them to call me a taxi for going shopping, and the hotel staff actually drow me there, for free! And the real friendly and helpful guy waited outside to drive me back afterwards.
Only thing I wasn't so pleased with were the beds (as hard as many in Thailand are), and - mostly - the dead fish-look of breakfast staff.
I was coming with a 4-month baby on my arm and a happy and hungry 2,5-year old. My man was stuck up in the reception for 15 minutes, and I tried to collect something from the buffe for the rest of us... Staff glanced me when I tried to carry some breakfast to table with one hand at the same time as the 2,5-year-old stole marmalade from buffet, dropped juice on the floor and screamed to me that he dropped and needed a wipe. But not a question if I needed help, if they could carry me something or hold the baby or trying to entertain the hurricane-2,5-year-old, only staring... If at home, I would have complained to the manager. If they don't help me, they can at least pretend that they are not irritated.
