Transportation to Holiday Villa Lanta

Kao Lanta is in the area of Krabi which is approximately 70 kilometer from Krabi’s City.  From the Krabi’s City to arrive to Kao Lanta you need to using Engine Car Raft which can take around 20-30 cars per time to cross 2 time which will take around 35 minutes.

Alternative way, there will be 10 seat van from Krabi’s city to Kao Lanta and from Trung Railway station to Kao Lanta.

There is another choose to travel to Kao Lanta by Ferry boat from Plak Klong Ji Lad dock in Krabi’s City.  But you need to be careful about the timing because schedule of the van and schedule of the Ferry boat is not so matching.  The schedule of the van will be starting from 10.00 am and will last at 4.00 pm.   Ferry boat has only 1 time per day at 11.00 am and will reach to Kao Lanta at 01.00 pm  (and the Ferry boat is in operation only in the tourist season only – last week of October till first week of May).

Journey from Bangkok to Krabi
By Air is the most comfortable selection.  From the Suvarnabhumi Airport using the direct flight to Krabi Domestic Airport.  And from Krabi Domestic Airport, there are service bus easily to Kao Lanta taking around 1 hours 30 minutes.

You need to check out the flight schedule from Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi Airport to Krabi Domestic Airport of Sawan.  The service van starts from Krabi Domestic Airport from 10.00 am and the last van will be at 04.00 pm.  The late flight which arrive to Krabi later than 04.00 pm will create difficulties for you to arrive Kao Lanta by service van.

Journey from Phuket to Krabi

For all passengers who reach to Phuket Airport can take the speed boot from Phuket to Kao Lanta Yai very easily.  The speed boat will leave from Phuket dock at 01.00 pm and arrive to Kao Lanta Yai at 04.10 pm in which the speed boat will first stop at PhiPhi Island before reaching to Kao Lanta Yai.
Journey by bus
You can journey to Krabi by bus taking the bus from the South Terminal station.  There are many type of bus to Krabi – (ordinary bus, 36 seats air conditional bus and VIP 24 seats).  All bus will start from the bus terminal from 05.00 pm till 08.45 pm.

Traveling by bus, you will arrive to Krabi early in the Morning around 6.00 am which you will have plenty of time to have breakfast, sit and relax with a cup of coffee, look around the see the morning living style of the people in Krabi.  You will have enough time to book the van/bus at the bus station. You can take city bus to walk around in the city of Krabi.  But don’t forget to book your seat / ticket before you freak around in the city.
