Layana Resort & Spa Krabi

I really was surprised to see only one review for Layana Resort. This is the first time I have found this site, so as soon as I found Koh Lanta I had to look up Layana Resort. To my surprise it is Number 26!!!!! Shock Horror.

I can only ask you all to look it up on Tripadvisor, I then have to say no more. Do not dismiss this Wonderful Paradise.

My partner and I stayed here in October 07, we had a fantastic time. We stayed in a Garden Pavilion room, it is there standard room, but there is no need to upgrade as it was wonderful.

The service is second to none, everyone cannot do enough for you. The food in the Tides restaurant is superb, no need to go outside the resort.

Layana Resort & Spa is simply unique. Exclusive! The location could not be better - a 3-km long beach ideal for a walk and prestine ocean. Excellent Thai hospitality where the staff is very attentive and efficient.

My room - Beach Suite - was bright (normally hotel rooms are always too dark for my taste) spacious and elegantly furnished. Nothing was overlooked not even the wonderful flowers on the table and that in a small island. Have to say 100 points for this trouble.

Tides restaurant located at the beach has a relaxed atmosphere and serves international and Thai cuisine. Food presentation and taste was great and the ingredients very fresh. It is really a place to put some kgs on as the food is too good to say no. Sundowners bar is the meeting point for all guests inclusive to meet the owners Bob and Margie.

Where on this planet you can make acquaintance with the owners? Well, at Layana. They are running the resort with their whole heart. And make sure everything is perfect. I booked a 4-island-excursion and twice a Sunset cruise by Layana's own speedboat which were excellent. The organisation was again excellent. The Andaman Sea is fascinating (try the Emerald Cave). For the lazy hours at the infinity pool one can pick up some books or magazine from the library (English, German and other languages available). Linger Longer Spa experience was superb (try coconut wrap and Layana Signature massage). The therapists are well-trained and the products from excellent quality.

Overall I would say this was the best place I stayed in, where I really felt especial at every moment.
