Don't stay there!!!
by Natasha Ward from London, 27 Mar 06
The hotel location is great but the hotel itself is a huge disappointment. We booked the hotel after seeing pictures of it on the internet and were impressed. However when we got there we realised we had made a mistake.
The rooms were very dated and dirty. They claimed that all rooms had air conditioning but they are units from the 80's and blew hot air. Meals were very expensive as they also charge service tax and VAT on every meal which is unheard of in the rest of Thailand. The staff were very unhelpful including the manager (Australian man) when I complained about the sewerage smell in our room when we checked in.
The hotel should not be calling itself a resort as it is far from even being a hotel!!

Relaxation
by Emma from Melbourne, Australia, 13 Jul 06
Located in a small, quiet and beautiful bay about half an hour by long-tail boat from Ton Sai village, Phi Phi Natural is perfect for people wanting a romantic place away from the action. The actual bay is the most picturesque spot on the island but if you are interested in doing more than just read a book and laze around all day perhaps somewhere closer to Ton Sai is better. If not, this is perfect! There are a couple of restaurants and bars to choose from but they are fairly expensive considering that the options are limited and they know that guests have to eat something and take advantage of this by upping the price.
The staff were gorgeous, helpful and genuine. The breakfast room and breakfast were lovely. The rooms are a little bit tired but comfortable and the air-con is effective. The Thai massage was fantastic and the views from the bungalows and the little beach were just breath taking. We had a fantastic stay here but I would recommend coming just for a few days of total relaxation then head back to Phuket or to ton sai for the action. But if relaxation's the key goal of your trip, stay for ever.

Bad experience
by Dalia from Portugal, 13 Sep 06
I will certainly never go back. The standard room doesn't have a TV (that was not said anywhere) and when I checked in there were dead bugs in the bathroom and hair inside the bed.
Restaurant and boat trips are very expensive because you have no other choices and overall everything is too expensive for what is provided. The food served at breakfast didn't look fresh and keeping the flies away as a problem. Pool is small and the water didn't look clear. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff at the restaurant: helpful, nice, warm and thoughtful.
Overall, it was a bad experience for such a beautiful island...

by Anonymous User from europe, 25 Jan 07
Didn't like the place at all!! Rooms where really dated - we tried to upgrade but they wanted to charge us 3,000 Baht more for the next class of rooms.
Breakfast was horrible - so many flies. On arrival we had a cockroach in the shower!

I would definitely consider booking again...
by Peter de H from Netherlands, 20 Oct 07
I've read some complaints about this resort, but can't really understand them, food was good, not cheap/not expensive too, depends where you are from. No flies at all, but maybe depends on the season...
