Good budgeted hotel to stay

by Esther Tham from Selangor, Malaysia, 24 Apr 08

Hotel food is not much choice, but there are some food stalks just outside the hotel, the meat ball noodle sup was very delicious, must try.

Location is not far from the beach, along the way to the beach there are a lot of shops & restaurant that you can enjoy you shopping.

Although this hotel don't have any swimming poor, but you still can go swimming at the next door hotel.

Why stay anywhere else?

by Chris from New Zealand, 6 Aug 07

This place was such a pleasant surprise! It's about 2 minutes walk to the beach and nice and close to lots of restaurants and bars. There's a 24hour convenience store directly across the road to buy drinks to put in the fridge in the room which we loved. The rooms are spacious and modern, have satellite TV, hot showers, good a/c, a safe in the room and internet downstairs (what you see on the internet is what you get - good surprise). The swimming pool pass that you get for the 5 star resort a few doors down is a bonus too! Each room has a balcony which overlook the limestone cliffs. The breakfast is fantastic and the value for money overall is even better, especially in low season.

Only one gripe - our shower was a bit temperamental - either hot or cold (though not freezing cold), there wasn't much in between and near impossible to regulate with the taps. But we barely cared - the hot water is 24/7 so at least it's always there!

We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good deal with no catches. Clean, modern and spacious in a good location at a great price.

Great bed and breakfast

by David Gee Kok Kuen from Malaysia, 30 Oct 07

Overall a great budget hotel. Very convenient. The location is very ideal. You can get excellent beef ball noodles just directly opposite the hotel. Would definitely be back in the near future.

Highly Recommend Hotel

by Karina from Selangor, Malaysia, 14 Dec 07

Stayed at this hotel in October. Booking at AtSiam.com was a breeze. Would like to say Thank You to Racheal for being very helpful and attended to all my queries very promptly.

The hotel location is fantastic. There's a diving shop and a bank just next door. Massage parlours, convenience store and a very tasty beef ball noodle just in front of the hotel. For those who misses home, McDonalds is just 5mins away. For those who love to eat, there are mobile stalls just at the junction turning into the hotel selling yummy pork, beef and chicken stay.

The rooms are very clean and spacious, thought the bed was very very firm! There's no elevator in the hotel, so be ready to carry your baggage/s up a few flights of steps. Shower and air-con was fantastic. Breakfast is not fancy, but sufficient, with fresh fruits, coffee/tea, bacon and eggs, bread. cereals and pancakes. Get a room with balcony, it has fantastic view of lime stone formation nearby, or you could soak up the local culture and watch the noodle seller go about doing her business. Don't forget to get some oil painting / souvenirs form the shop just in front of the hotel, as the workers are all deaf. But, do remember to bargain using the calculator provided. A 10mins walk from the hotel will get you to the counter that sells boat tickets to the nearby beaches (ie: Railey beach).

Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!

Definitely stay here!

by Laura & Steve from Australia, 24 Feb 08

Stayed here Dec 07. Staff speak minimal English but are very friendly. Room - good but shower is literally hot and cold. Breakfast - great. Location - short walk to the beach.

Facilities - pool at neighboring hotel is included and is great. Internet is cheap. Only problem was that laundry was given with promise of evening return and we didn't get in till the next day.

Overall, a great hotel for stay in Ao Nang - would definitely stay here again.
