5thOct-16thOct 2008 we visited last year and loved it so we went back this year for 10 days and wish we hadn't it was nice to see the manageress again as we became friends but we should have been warned about the building site next door. They started at 7:30am and did not finish until 10:45pm it was just a constant racket. We decided to spend a day at the pool to relax and found that they had removed all the decking surrounding the pool so we couldn't use it then they decided to start all the repairs to the villas around us instead of having the work done during the closed season. So we did not enjoy our stay at all unlike last year, this year was a total waste of our hard earned cash with nowhere to relax in the resort. When all work has been completed this really is a brilliant resort but until then I would avoid it. Next door is scheduled to be completed by December but who knows it is Thailand. The hotel next door is 4/5 floors high and so now overlooks tropical herbal and blocks out any views of the moutain and also having outdoor bathrooms may not be as private as they claim when the hotel is completed as it has been built approximately 8ft away from villas 8&9 so avoid these ones 9 is the grand villa, saying all this we were still made very welcome by Aranya and all her staff but it didn't make our stay enjoyable.
