Fern Resort Reviews & Ratings

This resort resembled a nice 4-star resort, minus the TVs and telephones. Bungalow decor is simple and subtly upscale without being ostentatious, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Bathrooms are a little less deluxe, but definitely a step up than I would have thought to find in a self-described Eco-resort. Bed comfort was hit and miss. we had 2 beds, and one had a normal mattress, but the other had a box-spring foundation covered with a thin mattress pad. We also had some trouble getting hot water in the shower, food at the resort was so-so, but there's a shuttle to the (affiliated) Fern Restaurant in town, where the food is better. The staff are all amazingly accommodating, and the hotel's dogs are trained to guide you on hikes!
